Abstract

This study aims to develop, test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of Nearpod-based interactive learning media. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model which is adjusted to the conditions and needs of students with the following steps: (1) Potential and Problems; (2) Data Collection; (3) Product Design; (4) Design Validation; (5) Design Revision; (6) Small Scale Trial; (7) Large Scale Trial; and (8) Final Product. The subjects of this research were 29 fifth grade students of 01 Sumur elementary school. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that Nearpod-based interactive learning media is a media that presents material on national events during the colonial period and can be accessed by students through Nearpod links or codes given by educators. This media obtained a very feasible category with a percentage of 98.52% from media experts and a percentage of 93.75% from material experts. The t-test results showed that the sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 which means < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the average score of the Pretest and posttest. The N-Gain test showed a value of 0.49 with a moderate category, so it can be concluded that there is an increase in the average pretest and posttest scores. In conclusion, the Nearpod-based interactive learning media is very feasible and effective to use in learning social studies material on national events during the fifth grade colonization period.

Abstract

Springs are natural water sources that play an important role in meeting community needs; however, their quality must be considered to ensure safe utilization. This study aims to evaluate and compare the water quality of Mudal and Sendang Beji Springs in Girijati Village, Purwosari Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, based on basic physical and chemical parameters in relation to their local uses. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with comparative analysis, in which water samples were collected on May 13–14, 2025, and analyzed using physical parameters (temperature, TDS, taste, odor) and chemical parameter (pH). The results were then compared with the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017 concerning hygiene, sanitation, and public bathing standards. Findings indicate that Mudal Spring has an average temperature of 27.83 °C, TDS of 425.67 mg/l, pH of 6.78, is odorless, and has a fresh taste. Meanwhile, Sendang Beji Spring shows a pH of 6.67 with similar physical characteristics. All measured parameters meet the quality standards for hygiene, sanitation, and public bathing purposes. It can be concluded that both springs are suitable for daily community needs such as drinking, bathing, washing, and agricultural irrigation in accordance with their current utilization.

Abstract

Pekalongan City, located on the northern coast of Java Island, frequently experiences flooding caused by rainfall and tidal inundation due to its proximity to the sea and low elevation. These conditions make Pekalongan a high-risk area, particularly as the community remains highly vulnerable to both types of flooding. Recurrent flood events in the city have caused extensive damage to houses and public facilities, leading to considerable economic losses. This study aims to assess the level of flood vulnerability in Pekalongan City using the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Regulation No. 2 of 2012 as the primary framework. The analysis relied on secondary data obtained from previous studies, relevant institutions in Pekalongan, and official government sources. The findings reveal that Pekalongan City remains highly vulnerable to flooding, with significant risks of losses recurring in every flood event. Index-based assessments indicate that the highest levels of vulnerability are found in the economic and physical dimensions, while environmental and social vulnerabilities are categorized as moderate. These results underscore the urgent need for strategic interventions by both the government and local communities to strengthen adaptive capacity and enhance resilience against the increasing frequency and intensity of flood hazards.
