Abstract

Legenda La Hila Putri Ma Mbora (Seorang Putri Yang Hilang) merupakan sastra lisan yang hidup di kalangan masyarakat Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Sebagai cerita yang diwariskan antargenerasi oleh nenek moyang masyarakat Bima, saat ini legenda ini bertransformasi dalam tradisi-tradisi masyarakat Donggo, Bima. Banyak tradisi dalam masyarakat Donggo Bima yang terpengaruh oleh keberadan legenda ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tradisi-tradisi masyarakat Donggo, Bima, yang dipengaruhi oleh legenda La Hila Putri Ma Mbora. Untuk melakukan hal tersebut digunakan metode etnografi. Etnografi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi digital. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara kepada informan kunci dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan model Milles dan Hubberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, interpretasi data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa legenda La Hila Putra Ma Mbora telah bertransformasi ke dalam berbagai bentuk tradisi masyaraat Bima, yaitu syair kalero, pesta raju, cola nasa, adat kematian, dan tradisi berpakaian perempuan Bima. The legend of La Hila Putri Ma Mbora (A Missing Princess) is an oral literature that lives among the community of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. As a passed down story between generations, today, this legend is transformed into the traditions of the Donggo people of Bima. Many traditions in the Donggo Bima community were influenced by the existence of this legend. This study aims to describe the traditions of the Donggo, Bima, who were influenced by the legend of La Hila Putri Ma Mbora. Ethnographic method is applied to conduct the research. Method used in this research is digital ethnography. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with key informants and document studies. Data analysis techniques is using the Milles and Hubberman models, namely data reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the legend of La Hila Putra Ma Mbora had transformed into various forms of Bima community traditions, namely kalero poetry, raju parties, cola nasa, death customs, and Bima women's dress traditions.

Abstract

AbstractLegends are a form of oral literature rich in cultural and moral values, with significant potential for teaching and preserving local cultural heritage. This study aims to explore and analyze the cultural values embedded in the legends of the Bima community in West Nusa Tenggara, focusing on their use as teaching materials in elementary-level literature education. As a form of oral literature, legends hold considerable potential in teaching moral, cultural, and social values. This research employs a literary anthropology approach and digital ethnography methods to document various types of folktales and analyze the values they contain. Data was collected through online interviews with key informants who shared these tales. The findings reveal that the four primary legends studied La Hila Putri Ma Mbora, Wadu Ntanda Rahi, the Legend of Mount Tambora, and Daeng La Minga contain important multicultural values, such as respect for nature, family values, emotional resilience, religious beliefs, tolerance, as well as morality and ethics. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menganalisis nilai-nilai kultural yang terkandung dalam legenda masyarakat Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat, dengan fokus pada pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan ajar dalam pengajaran sastra di tingkat dasar. Legenda, sebagai salah satu bentuk sastra lisan, memiliki potensi besar untuk mengajarkan nilai-nilai moral, budaya, dan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan antropologi sastra dan metode etnografi digital untuk mendokumentasikan berbagai jenis dongeng dan menganalisis nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara daring dengan informan kunci yang menyampaikan dongeng-dongeng tersebut. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa empat dongeng utama yang diteliti, yaitu La Hila Putri Ma Mbora, Wadu Ntanda Rahi, Legenda Gunung Tambora, dan Daeng La Minga, mengandung nilai-nilai multikultural yang penting, seperti penghormatan terhadap alam, nilai kekeluargaan, ketahanan emosional, keagamaan, toleransi, serta moralitas dan etika. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar sastra yang relevan dan bermakna, serta memperkenalkan kekayaan budaya lokal Bima kepada generasi muda melalui pendidikan sastra di tingkat dasar.Kata kunci: Legenda, sastra lisan, nilai kultural, pengajaran sastra, masyarakat Bima

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the survival strategies used by farmers in Margaluyu Village, Bandung Regency, in dealing with the uncertainty of agricultural commodity prices. The instability of agricultural product prices is one of the main challenges faced by farmers, which has an impact on their economic and social welfare. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this study with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that farmers in Margaluyu Village developed several adaptive strategies, such as diversifying income sources by borrowing capital from dealers, using the Tumpang sari technique to overcome challenges arising from the uncertainty of agricultural commodity prices, and forming social networks between farmers. In addition, support from the government and local institutions also plays an important role in strengthening farmers' resilience to market price fluctuations. This study provides in-depth insight into effective survival mechanisms for farmers in dealing with economic uncertainty in the agricultural sector. These findings are expected to be the basis for policy makers in designing programs that support the sustainability of the agricultural sector.

Abstract

In modern political discourse, language serves as both a means of communication and a strategic instrument for influencing public reasoning and consolidating ideological dominance. This study examines how political figures utilise language to disseminate logical fallacies that skew rational judgement and influence public perception. The main aim is to discover, classify, and critically assess the linguistic strategies that incorporate faulty reasoning in political discourse. The study utilises a critical review methodology to synthesise findings from 45 peer-reviewed journal publications published between 2010 and 2024 in the disciplines of linguistics, political science, philosophy, and discourse analysis. Data were gathered via systematic searches in Scopus-indexed databases and analysed thematically through qualitative content analysis and the principles of critical discourse analysis. The results indicate four prevailing patterns: (1) the tactical employment of informal fallacies, including ad hominem and false dilemma; (2) the rhetorical amplification of fallacies via causal and contrastive connectives; (3) the emotional framing of arguments to evade critical examination; and (4) the normalisation of erroneous reasoning through media and political discourse repetition. These findings highlight the necessity for improved critical literacy and public consciousness regarding rhetorical manipulation in democratic nations. The research enhances multidisciplinary discourse on language and authority and provides practical applications for education, journalism, and civic participation.

Abstract

Environmental degradation, including deforestation, wildlife extinction, and ecological disasters, constitutes a serious issue that necessitates interdisciplinary attention. This study examines ecological criticism represented in the traditional Bima song “Nggahi Rawi Pahu” by Cucu Malingi through the lens of ecocriticism and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The analytical framework combines Greg Garrard’s ecocritical concepts (apocalypse, pollution, and animals) with Teun A. van Dijk’s AWK model (text structure, social cognition, and sociocultural context) to investigate the song lyrics as a medium of critique against environmental exploitation. The findings indicate that the lyrics construct a narrative of ecological damage through the use of symbolism, repetition, and metaphor, which illustrate deforestation, the extinction of wildlife, and flooding as direct consequences of human activity. Furthermore, the discourse strategies employed in the text foster collective ecological awareness and ideological resistance to environmental destruction by grounding the message in local cultural knowledge. This study highlights the role of traditional songs not merely as cultural expressions, but also as vehicles for ecological critique and public consciousness-raising.Keywords: Ecological Criticism, Critical Discourse Analysis, Traditional Song, Bima, Environmental Degradation AbstrakKerusakan lingkungan seperti deforestasi, kepunahan satwa, dan bencana ekologis menjadi persoalan yang memerlukan perhatian lintas disiplin. Penelitian ini menganalisis kritik ekologis yang direpresentasikan dalam lagu daerah Bima berjudul “Nggahi Rawi Pahu” karya Cucu Malingi dengan menggunakan pendekatan ekokritik dan critical discourse analysis (CDA). Pendekatan ekokritik Greg Garrard (apocalypse, pollution, dan animals) serta model AWK Teun A. van Dijk (struktur teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosiokultural) digunakan untuk mengkaji lirik lagu sebagai bentuk kritik terhadap eksploitasi lingkungan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu membentuk narasi kerusakan ekologis melalui simbolisme, repetisi, dan metafora yang menggambarkan penggundulan hutan, punahnya satwa, dan banjir sebagai dampak langsung aktivitas manusia. Selain itu, strategi wacana dalam teks membangun kesadaran ekologis kolektif dan resistensi ideologis terhadap kerusakan lingkungan dengan mengandalkan pengetahuan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa lagu tradisional tidak hanya sebagai ekspresi budaya, tetapi juga sebagai medium kritik ekologis dan penyadaran publik.Kata kunci: Kritik Ekologis, Analisis Wacana Kritis, Lagu Tradisional, Bima, Kerusakan Lingkungan
