Abstract

Abstract

The relatively high population growth rate as a result of the development in South Tangerang City has caused traffic jams during rush hour at the Gaplek intersection. This congestion can be minimized by constructing a Martadinata flyover without disturbing the existing transportation movements. Heap construction is often faced with several problems, including stability and reduction problems due to the weight of the pile load, due to vehicle traffic loads, and due to being above soft soil layers. This study aims to obtain the magnitude of the carrying capacity of the subgrade under light weight foam mortar, to obtain the amount of stability and reduction of light weight foam mortar to soft soil behavior. Comparative research to get a comparison between manual calculation and finite element calculation method plaxis 8.2 software. The results of the bearing capacity of the soil under lightweight foam mortar at a soil depth of 1.5 meters and 10 meters, the soil bearing capacity is 366,481 kN/m2 and 376,295 kN/m2. The stability results of the lightweight foam mortar pile above the soft soil layer due to the weight of the pile load of 3.52 and 12.53 due to vehicle traffic loads of 3.05 and 9.54 have met the minimum safety factor requirements for road class 1 of 1.4. The results of the reduction of light weight foam mortar are above the soft soil layer due to the weight of the embankment load of 11.91 mm year and 12.61 mm/year, due to vehicle traffic loads of 15.25 mm/year and 20.06 mm/year. meet the criteria for road embankment reduction of 20mm/year. So it can be concluded that the foam mortar stockpile at the Martadinata Pamulang Tengerang Selatan flyover has met the requirements in the technical planning guidelines for lightweight foam mortar pile on soft soil.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a tool that can be used in the process of clamping valves on motorbike engine blocks using a pneumatic system as a mechanism for clamping the engine block and as a rack and pinion driver, replacing human hand movements semi-automatically through electropneumatic control. This aims to save time in the clamping process, which usually takes around 90 to 120 minutes manually. By using this valve adjustment tool, clamping time can be cut to 10 to 17.5 minutes. Research methods include design, component manufacturing, assembly, testing, and data collection. The results of the development of a valve control tool with an electro-pneumatic system can also be applied in the learning process of mechanical engineering students in the fluid control laboratory.

Abstract

Induction motors, which convert electrical energy into mechanical energy using electromagnetic principles, are widely used in various applications from households to large industries. The performance of these motors is important for the smooth running of industrial production processes. Mechanical damage, such as bearing failure due to overload, can reduce their efficiency. This study aims to monitor and analyze the decrease in induction motor efficiency due to defects in the bearing cageball, using a literature review method. The results show a decrease in efficiency of around 2-3%, which is observed through the efficiency graph against the overall RMS.

Abstract

Effective decision making requires a Decision Support System (DSS) that integrates data, automated simulation models, and interactive visualization. The DSS is used to improve the effectiveness of machine operation scheduling, identify lines that require overtime, and develop action plans for lines that do not meet production targets. The use of Macro VB Excel accelerates data query and root cause analysis through fishbone and FMEA, increasing the efficiency of analysis time by 3.5 hours faster and requiring an additional 7.4 shifts of overtime to achieve the production target of 20,593 pcs. In the production meeting, four action plans were proposed including the creation of SOPs to minimize machine adjustments, routine overtime settings, different operation settings for materials from suppliers, and standardization of parameters for each production process.

Abstract

Effective decision making requires the implementation of a Decision Support System (DSS) that combines data, automated simulation models, and interactive visualization. This DSS plays a role in improving the efficiency of machine scheduling, identifying production lines that require overtime, and designing action plans for lines that fail to achieve production targets. The use of Macro VB Excel facilitates the acceleration of data collection and problem analysis using fishbone diagrams and FMEA, which reduces analysis time by 2.7 hours and requires additional overtime of 6.1 shifts to achieve the production target of 19,277 pcs. In the production meeting, four action plans were proposed including the creation of Standard Operating Procedures to reduce machine adjustments, routine overtime assignments, different operations for materials from certain suppliers, and standardization of parameters for each production process.

Abstract

In building construction projects, especially in the excavation stage, the use of heavy vehicles is essential and plays an important role in determining the success of apartment building construction. The production capacity of these heavy vehicles is critical to the progress of the project. The importance of production capacity analysis makes this calculation crucial. This study aims to measure the production capacity of heavy vehicles in the second phase of the Kasablanka Kuningan apartment building construction project, including asphalt finishers, dump trucks, pneumatic tire rollers, and tandem rollers. Using the volumetric method, this study calculates the volume and production capacity of heavy equipment, with results showing that productivity is in accordance with the predetermined schedule.

Abstract

Infrastructure projects, especially in flexible pavement work, are highly dependent on the use of heavy vehicles. This use is a crucial factor in supporting the success of asphalt road construction projects, where the production capacity of heavy vehicles plays a vital role in the progress of project implementation. Therefore, the calculation of production volume capacity analysis is important. The purpose of this study is to identify the production volume capacity of work on the construction of the Semarang-Demak Toll Road section 1C KM 35+400 to KM 36+400, including the capacity of asphalt finishers, dump trucks, pneumatic tire rollers, and tandem rollers. The method used is the volumetric method, which aims to calculate the volume and production capacity of heavy vehicles. The results of the analysis show that the calculation of the volume and productivity of heavy vehicles has been in accordance with the planned schedule.
