Abstract

Indonesia’s diversity may be challenging as it can be a double-edged knife in the context of social interaction. Not only supporting positive development direction, the diversity also carries negative influence that may cause inharmony to Indonesian society. In the context of the millennial generation as the future leader, the diversity is also very important for further discussion in response to the efforts of building a harmonious society. Projecting the case study of millennial generation in Pontianak City of West Borneo, this work aims to explore the level of emotional maturity, religiosity and religious tolerance, as well as to verify the relationship between emotional maturity, religiosity and religious tolerance. It is based on a quantitative approach with a type of causality research project. There were 182 samples in this study. The research results show that the Pontianak City millennial generation is in a high category in terms of emotional maturity, religiosity and religious tolerance. Further, the results have proven that emotional maturity and religiosity have a relationship with religious tolerance, which indicates that each dimension of emotional maturity and religiosity has a relationship with religious tolerance. The findings also show that an additional factor that shapes emotional maturity, religiosity and religious tolerance is the educational level of the millennial generation. This indicates that the higher the level of education of the millennial generation, the higher their emotional maturity, religiosity and religious tolerance.

Abstract

This research examines the criminal liability of Indonesian migrant workers involved in migrant smuggling, whether intentionally or unintentionally, within the framework of human rights and criminal law. Using a doctrinal legal approach, the study finds that migrant workers, as victims of human trafficking, cannot be held criminally liable for smuggling since they are treated as objects of the crime, although they may still be accountable for other offenses under applicable law. Criminal liability rests with individuals or organized groups that profit from smuggling activities. The study emphasizes the need to protect the rights of Indonesian migrant workers and to prevent the criminalization of those who become victims of human trafficking.

Abstract

As Puskesmas transition into BLUD entities, they are required to develop structured medium-term planning documents that are both administratively sound and accountable. This community service activity aims to enhance the managerial and technical capacity of BLUD (Public Service Agency) Puskesmas in Purworejo Regency in preparing Strategic and Business Planning documents in accordance with regulations and healthcare service needs. This activity was conducted through workshops and intensive assistance by a team of lecturers from the D3 Accounting Program of Politeknik Harapan Bersama and the D4 Tax Accounting Program of Diponegoro University and Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia, in collaboration with Wahyu Yeni Novi Public Accounting Firm. There are about 28 participants from 14 BLUD in Purworejo. The implementation method included module delivery, case studies, practical document preparation, and evaluation of participants' achievements. The results indicated an improvement in participants' understanding of the concepts and structure of Strategic and Business Planning documents, as well as their technical ability to tailor these documents to the specific characteristics of their respective Puskesmas. It showed that all the BLUDs were able to fulfil the template module for their strategic and business plans.   This intervention model, combining multi-institutional academic collaboration with professional practitioners, proved effective in overcoming common implementation gaps in public sector financial management reforms at the local level.

Abstract

A considerable number of correctional facilities and detention centres in Indonesia are currently grappling with overcrowding issues, primarily driven by inmates involved in narcotics-related cases. This research aims to investigate the inconsistencies within narcotics regulations that lead to diverse interpretations of the law by law enforcement officials. The pressing aim of this study is to reduce the population of narcotics offenders serving prison sentences, thus alleviating the problem of overcrowding. This research adopts a qualitative methodology focusing on legislative and conceptual analysis. The research findings underscore the necessity for a revision of narcotics legislation. More specifically, this involves categorizing narcotics offenders based on their intent, making a clear distinction between "narcotics users," encompassing individuals who use drugs, suffer from addiction, or have become victims of narcotics abuse, and "narcotics profiteers," which includes those engaged in selling, facilitating transactions, manufacturing, or inducing others into narcotics abuse and victimization. In summary, this research highlights that consistency is needed in the regulation of narcotics articles by creating clear categories of behavior that are included in narcotics crimes to eliminate the various interpretations of the law, ultimately ensuring a fair and legally certain criminal justice system.
