Abstract

Infectious disease is a human health problem that will develop from time to time. Skin infections can be caused by bacteria. Kopasanda Leaf Extract contains secondary metabolite compounds that act as antibacterial agents. The purpose of this study was to determine the class of chemical compounds and the antibacterial activity of Kopasanda leaf extract (Chromolaena odorata L) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus based on the diameter of the inhibition zone. The working method used is the manufacture of simplicia, extraction, phytochemical screening, antibacterial activity testing with the disc diffusion method. Based on the results of the study, the average inhibition zone on Pseudomonas aeruginosa 2% was 11.3 mm, 4% concentration was 13.3 mm, 8% concentration was 19.3 mm and the positive control was 16.6 mm and the negative control was obtained. 0 mm. While the results of the measurement of the diameter of the inhibition zone on Staphylococcus aureus with a concentration of 2% of 12.6 mm, 4% concentration of 15.6 mm, 8% concentration of 18.6 mm, and 16.3 mm in positive control and 0 mm in negative control. which means it has no inhibition zone. The conclusion of this study was that all concentrations of kopasanda leaf extract used had antibacterial potential against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) has antioxidant active compounds that can prevent skin cell damage due to the influence of free radicals. Lotion is a cosmetic product whose consistency is lower than cream, so that the use of lotion can be evenly distributed on the skin. This research purposed to formulated the preparation of tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Water Extract lotion and to know the physical quality stability of the preparation of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Water Extract lotion. Tomatoes was extracted by using freeze dryer and then it was formulated with concentration 1%, 3%, and 5% by using lotion base that consist of Stearic Acid, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Nipagin, Nipasol, Liquid Paraffin, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Vitamin E, Fragrance, Aquadest. The inspection of preparation quality consist of organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH, dispersion, viscosity, adhesion before and after accelerated stability storage. The results showed that the lotion preparation of Tomato Fruit Water Extract at all concentrations (1%, 3%, 5%) before and after storage was accelerated homogeneously, had a pH ranging from 7 – 7.81, viscosity 2622 – 5180 cp.s, dispersion power. 5.2 – 8 cm, and adhesion ranged from 10.09 – 44.71 seconds. Lotion preparations with concentrations of tomato fruit extract 1%, 3%, 5%, have met the requirements for topical preparations except for formula 1. Abstract

Providing drug information to patients is one of the important indicators for patients in the successful use of their drugs. This study was conducted at the Tamalate Health Center in Makassar City with the aim of evaluating patient satisfaction with the provision of drug information. Evaluation of patient satisfaction in this study used the services quality method, namely by measuring patient satisfaction on five dimensions of services, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The respondents involved amounted to 100 people obtained using accidental sampling. The research data were obtained using a questionnaire with Likert scale. The results obtained were analyzed by gap analysis in reality with expectations. A positive gap value or zero (0) indicates that the patient is satisfied and a negative gap value indicates that the patient is dissatisfied. In this study, an overall patient satisfaction level of 76.67% (very satisfied) was obtained. The results of the gap analysis obtained in the tangible dimension (tangibel) are -0.09, in the dimension of reliability (reliability) is -0.54, in the dimension of responsiveness (responsiveness) is -0.07, in the dimension of assurance (assurance) is 0.01, and in the dimension of empathy (empathy) is -0.06. Pemberian informasi obat kepada pasien adalah salah satu indikator penting bagi pasien dalam keberhasilan penggunaan obatnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Tamalate Kota Makassar dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kepuasan pasien terhadap pemberian informasi obat. Evaluasi kepuasan pasien pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode service quality, yaitu dengan mengukur kepuasan pasien pada lima dimensi pelayanan, yaitu dimensi berwujud (tangible), kehandalan (reliability), ketanggapan (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), dan empati (empathy). Responden yang terlibat berjumlah 100 orang yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan accidental sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisa gap (kesenjangan) pada kenyataan dengan harapan. Nilai gap yang positif atau nol (0) menandakan bahwa pasien merasa puas dan nilai gap yang negatif menandakan bahwa pasien merasa tidak puas. Pada penelitian ini, diperoleh tingkat kepuasan pasien secara keseluruhan sebesar 76,67% (sangat puas). Hasil analisis gap yang diperoleh pada dimensi berwujud (tangibel) adalah -0,09, pada dimensi kehandalan (reliability) adalah – 0,54, pada dimensi ketanggapan (responsiveness) adalah -0,07, pada dimensi jaminan (assurance) adalah 0,01, dan pada dimensi empati (empathy) adalah -0,06.

Abstract

Rimpang Jeringau (Acorus calamus L.) mengandung saponin, flavonoid, glikosida dan steroid yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak Rimpang Jeringau terhadap Streptococcus pneumonia dan Klebsiella pneumoniae. Ekstrak rimpang Jeringau diekstraksi dengan metode Maserasi menggunakan pelarut Etanol 96%. Penelitian ini adalah peneltian eksperimental laboratorirum yang dilaksanakan dilaboratorium Mikrobiologi Jurusan Farmasi Politeknik Kesehatan Makassar. Pada penelitian ini terlebih dahulu dilakukan skrining fitokimia, selanjutnya dibuat 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok I kontrol negative (DMSO), kelompok II (ekstrak 2% b/v),kelompok III (ekstrak 4%b/v), kelompok IV (ekstrak 8% b/v), dan kelompok V kontrol positif (ceftriaxone). Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi menggunakan Paper disc dengan masia inkubasi 1 x 24 dan dilanjutkan dengan inkubasi 2 x 24 jam. Hasil penelitian skrining fitokimia menunjukkan hasil positif flavonoid, glikosida, steroid dan saponin. Ekstrak Rimpang Jeringau memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang bersifat bakteriostatik dan bakteriosida terhadap Streptococcus pneumoniae dan Klebsiella pneumoniae. Konsentrasi optimal ekstrak Rimpang Jeringau sebagai bakteriosida terhadap Streptococcus pneumoniae dan Klebsiella pneumoniae ditunjukan pada ekstrak dengan konsentrasi 8%b/v.
