Abstract

This research examines the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Pesantren in Indonesia, focusing on Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah Madani (STITMA) as a case study. The background of the study covers the historical evolution of pesantren from traditional Islamic boarding schools to legally regulated modern institutions. The research aims to understand how the law affects the functions of education, Islamic preaching (dakwah), and community empowerment at STITMA. A qualitative method was employed with primary data gathered through observations and secondary data sourced from literature studies. Findings indicate that the law has increased awareness of the importance of religious education, expanded educational access for pesantren graduates, and provided a framework for independent financial management at STITMA. The implications of this research underscore the need for more effective socialization of the law across different regions and addressing the stigma associated with pesantren as potential centers of radicalism.

Abstract

Solidarity is a relationship based on shared moral values and collective emotional experiences, crucial for forming social bonds and achieving common goals. This study aims to identify and enhance the implementation of solidarity values among 6th-semester students of Arabic Language Education at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah Madani Yogyakarta. The research employs a qualitative method, with data collected purposively and using the snowball technique, and analyzed inductively. The findings indicate that many students have not yet adopted solidarity values, resulting in a lack of concern for their peers. To address this issue, various steps are proposed, including education and outreach programs, social and cultural activities, cultural festivals, and support from the government and organizations. Principles of solidarity such as care, cooperation, empathy, equality, tolerance, trust, justice, mutual assistance, sacrifice, and patience should be integrated into daily life. Implementing these values is expected to strengthen social bonds, creating a harmonious and supportive environment, and helping students overcome various challenges.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Financing (NPF), Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) on the possibility of financial difficulties in Sharia Commercial Banks, with Company Size as a moderation for the 2020 – 2022 period. The study population included all Sharia Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority. The research sample consisted of nine Islamic commercial banks, selected using the purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed using panel data logistic regression analysis and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA Moderated Regression Analysis) using Eviews software version 10. The results showed that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) did not have a significant impact on the risk of possible financial stress. However, Non Performing Financing (NPF) and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) have a significant positive impact on the risk of possible financial stress. In addition, Company Size moderates the influence of NPF and BOPO, while the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) does not have a significant impact on such risks.
