Abstract

Community empowerment is one of the efforts made to improve community welfare. This effort can be carried out through various approaches, one of which is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a program that focuses on community and environmental empowerment as a form of social responsibility for companies located in a region. This research aims to determine the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs implemented by PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi in improving community welfare in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This is qualitative research with a field research approach to observe the impact of PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on community welfare in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The data in the research were collected through interviews with PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi and residents in Pabberesseng Hamlet as beneficiaries. The results of this research indicate that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program implemented by PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi succeeded in achieving 85% of their goal and provided significant benefits to the community in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. CSR programs such as providing clean water, solar electricity, road repairs, playground construction, and school sanitation have contributed to improving the health, economic productivity, and quality of life of the community.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of sharia-compliant digital marketing strategies to enhance the sales turnover of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Parepare City. Using a qualitative approach with a case study methodology, data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research focuses on understanding the effectiveness of digital marketing through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok while adhering to Islamic ethical principles. The findings reveal that before adopting digital marketing strategies, MSMEs in Parepare City experienced stagnant, declining, or inconsistent turnover due to reliance on traditional marketing methods. However, after utilizing social media for product promotion, most MSMEs reported turnover increases ranging from 20% to 80%. Facebook emerged as the most widely used platform, providing significant outreach and engagement opportunities. Additionally, TikTok and Instagram contributed to customer engagement through creative and interactive content. From an Islamic perspective, the study highlights that MSME actors operate their businesses in line with the principles of falah (worldly and spiritual prosperity), emphasizing transparency, fairness, and ethical practices in their marketing efforts. The adoption of sharia-compliant digital marketing strategies not only enhanced sales performance but also supported sustainable and ethical business operations. This study underscores the potential of digital marketing as a transformative tool for MSMEs, particularly when aligned with Islamic values. Future research could expand the scope by exploring additional sectors or regions to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of digital marketing strategies on business growth.

Abstract

Perayaan Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW merupakan tradisi yang telah berlangsung lama di berbagai kalangan umat Islam. Meski demikian, perayaan ini juga mengundang kontroversi, terutama terkait dengan statusnya sebagai bid'ah, yang mengacu pada inovasi dalam agama yang tidak ada di masa Nabi. Beberapa ulama menyatakan bahwa Maulid adalah bid'ah yang terlarang karena tidak memiliki dasar dalam sunnah Rasulullah dan khulafa al-rasyidin, sementara yang lain menganggapnya sebagai bentuk ekspresi cinta kepada Nabi dan sarana mempererat ukhuwah Islamiyah. Studi ini berfokus pada menganalisis argumen-argumen kedua pihak, baik yang menentang maupun yang mendukung perayaan Maulid, dengan pendekatan historis dan teologis. Tujuannya adalah untuk memahami akar perbedaan pandangan tentang Maulid dan implikasinya terhadap keragaman praktik keagamaan dalam Islam. Dengan menggali lebih dalam pemahaman para ulama tentang bid'ah hasanah (bid'ah baik) versus bid'ah dhalalah (bid'ah yang menyesatkan), penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai toleransi praktik dalam Islam serta cara mengelola perbedaan dalam ranah keyakinan dan ekspresi keagamaan di kalangan umat Muslim.

Abstract

This article examines the principles of language philosophy and its ramifications for the field of education, particularly in language acquisition. Language philosophy is an academic discipline that examines the essence of language and its significance in human existence. Moreover, the philosophy of language is a multifaceted domain, making it challenging to ascertain the extent of its comprehension. Nonetheless, this does not imply that the subject of philosophical inquiry is ambiguous. Language philosophy, like other philosophical domains such as legais, natural, human, and social philosophy, examines, analyzes, and elucidates the essence of language as a substantive object of inquiry. Our study methodology employs a literature review and an analysis of topics in language philosophy. The research gathers data by analyzing many sources, such as books, scholarly journals, and additional materials. The study's findings indicate that language philosophy underscores the significance of contextual comprehension, the relativity of meaning, and the influence of language in constructing reality. These implications can enhance teacher and student awareness of the significance of language in the learning process.

Abstract

Panai money (dui balanca) in Bugis tradition refers to a sum of money given by the prospective groom to the prospective bride’s family as part of the marriage process, based on mutual agreement between the two extended families. This money is fully managed by the prospective bride’s family and serves not only as a symbol of commitment in the marital relationship but also as a form of respect toward the bride’s family. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The primary data were obtained directly through interviews with married individuals, their parents, and community leaders in Suppa District. Secondary data were gathered from books, official documents, and previous research (journals or theses) relevant to the topic. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal two key points. First, the management of panai money in the Bugis community of Suppa District is directly handled by the prospective bride. The amount of panai money given by the groom’s family to the bride’s family is determined through a mutual agreement. The principle of fairness in determining the panai amount is highly upheld by the community to prevent disputes between the two parties. Second, based on the research findings, the practice of sharia accounting in the management of panai money has not yet fully implemented the principles of transparency and accountability. The community's understanding of sharia accounting varies significantly, depending on factors such as educational background, access to information, and prior experience with sharia-based financial practices.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate digital literacy education, which enhances users' technical skills and fosters ethical and effective communication competencies.  This study emphasizes the use of language as a mechanism for resolving communication problems on social media.  This research employs a qualitative methodology.  This study aims to analyze public perceptions of political dynamics, polarization, and voter engagement, as well as the influence of social media on the dissemination of information and opinions concerning the election.  Data is gathered via interviews and focus group sessions.  We employed a descriptive qualitative data analysis methodology.  The study's results suggest that the ramifications for digital literacy education are substantial in the context of the election.  Education that fosters a critical comprehension of language in social media, the capacity to identify biased or misleading material, and the proficiency in ethical and effective communication can mitigate communication disputes and enhance the quality of political discourse.  Another conclusion indicates that language significantly influences the quality of communication on social media, subsequently impacting the democratic process and voter engagement in elections.  Moreover, social media can serve as a crucial medium to enhance voter engagement, provided that the language employed stimulates public interest and comprehension of the electoral process.  This paper integrates the methodologies of the philosophy of language and digital communication studies, contributing to the discourse on fostering peaceful interactions in cyberspace and offering good implications for digital literacy education.

Abstract

This objective study explores the role and challenges of hermeneutics in education in the modern digital era. This type of research uses a systematic literature review approach to studies published between 2017 and 2024. This article uses strict criteria for what to include and what to leave out to look at the main trends in how hermeneutics is being used in social media, AI, and big data. It also talks about the ethical and philosophical problems that come up. These main results show that using hermeneutics in education in the digital age can help students understand texts better, but it can also cause problems with ethics, meaning, and how to represent different cultures. Additionally, in hermeneutics, interpretation constitutes the essence of comprehension. This perspective is appropriate for educators, as their responsibility is to comprehend human behavior and creations and subsequently impart this understanding to students in the learning process. The results of this SLR show how important it is to use a more integrated hermeneutical approach to deal with the problems and opportunities of using digital technologies in education. They also recommend further research on developing flexible and situation-relevant interpretation methods to promote a more balanced relationship between education, technology, and society.
