Abstract

Abstract

Fenomenologi menginginkan pengalaman langsung.

Abstract

Since it was first held in 2012 the Gandrung Sewu Festival has become a favorite in the Banyuwangi Festival event. The popularity of Gandrung Sewu appears not only because this show is aesthetically appealing, but also it holds the stories and desires of the people Banyuwangi. In addition to describing the implementation of the Gandrung Sewu performance which is part of the Banyuwangi Festival event, this paper also aims to reveal the history of the heroism of the Blambangan people which became the background for the emergence of Gandrung and later became an art performance called the Gandrung Sewu Festival. This paper is based on field note from observations of the Gandrung Sewu Festival and in-depth interviews with resource persons who have competence and relevance. The result of the study show that the Gandrung Sewu not only an art performance created from Gandrung which has become one of the icons of Banyuwangi’s arts and culture, but also an image of the herois of the Blambangan people in a war against foreign domination in the past, the heroism of the Bayu war unites returned the people of the Blambangan who were scattered in a new spirit which was marked by the birth of Banyuwangi. The heroism of the Blambangan people, which the people of Banyuwangi continues to love, continues to be eroded in to a variety of purely aesthetic artistic creativity in order to serve the growing demand for the tourism markes, especially in the era of Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas’leadership in 2010-2020. Abstract

To advance regional development and people's welfare, active community involvement is needed through the development of tourist villages. Gombengsari Village, especially the Lerek Neighborhood, has abundant local potential. Therefore, it is hoped that the community can take advantage of this local potential to advance the previously conceptualized tourist village further. This community service implementation uses the PAR method, in which the relevant parties must be actively involved. The activities include identifying local potential, introducing local potential to elementary school-age children, and discussions with MSME actors. Based on the activities above, it is known that the potential that exists in the Lerek Environment is the potential for education-based tourism (edutourism), namely education about coffee and milking etawa goats. MSMEs also play an important role in village tourism, namely utilizing natural resources and advancing the village economy. After joint discussions, MSME players realized that choosing packaging and labeling was very important to attract consumers to buy their products. Apart from that, several MSME players are also interested in marketing their products to e-commerce.

Abstract

Culture is something that is socially constructed. Therefore, culture is inseparable from the interests of the actors or social agents involved in it. Identity also formed in the dialectical process which involves all of these actors. The focus of this article is to answer the question of how these actors interpret the process of cultural repaduction in the context of the formation of identity in Situbondo, which is culturally characterized by pendalungan. With Peter L Berger’s social construction theory analysis tools it is understood that the multi-ethnic Pendalungan Situbondo Community in the process of forming their identities is always in the process of negotiation. This process in tum is able to reproduce the Situbondo Pendalungan culture. This condition appears to be represented in the terms of the Kota Santri and Bumi Shalawat Nariyah besides the Bule-dhika language. These facts then provide opportunities for Islamic symbols to be accommodatcd as identity markers for a Pendalungan Community in Situbondo.

Da'wah in the Post-Truth era uses various internet-based platforms. This offers great opportunities for religious involvement in life, but also presents challenges related to the authenticity, quality of content and commercialization of religion, which has the implication of degrading the critical power of the people. For this reason, da'wah is needed that is centered on da'wah partners by understanding the situation of da'wah partners critically and deeply, then we find methods, media and da'wah actions that suit their needs. Transformative da'wah encourages people to be active in improving their surroundings, overcoming injustice and improving the quality of life through the application of religious values in daily life as local wisdom.

Abstract

This article aims to uncover stereotypes against lepers and their descendants by impacting difficulties in finding a potential partner and the risk of being abandoned by a potential partner. This clearly cannot be underestimated and is part of the State and non-state actors’ responsibilities in protecting human rights based on Islamic law. This article used ethnography as a methodology of research when dialogue and observation were used as research techniques.  This study’s findings revealed that the descendants of lepers were considered a threat to the survival of their descendants, so they got discriminatory treatment, exclusion, stigmatization, exile, and inequality which in turn could interfere with their dignity. The Dhohiri School had a different view out of the four Schools of Islamic law namely Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali, where this School rejected divorce because of disability in any form. Dhohiri School had shown partiality and respect for the human rights of lepers and their descendants to engage in Betrothal and marriage without any discrimination, exclusion, stigmatization, banishment, or inequality of any kind. The alignment of the Dhohiri School is in line with the State and non-state actors’ efforts to minimize the inhumane and terrible treatments of people with leprosy and their descendants.
