Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trend of technology implementation in mathematics education in the Scopus Database using bibliometric analysis. Using predetermined keywords, researchers analyzed 251 documents using RStudio and Vosviewer. From the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that this study shows an interesting growth pattern in research on the use of technology in mathematics education over the period 1977 to 2024. This pattern changed significantly in the last 15 years, from 2009 to 2024, which is equivalent to four times the previous figure, or 66.13% of the total. The University of Pretoria dominated with the highest number of publications, at 14 articles. The source "Educational Studies in Mathematics" stands out as the best source with the highest h-index, at 5. Marien Alet Graham stands out as the author with the highest h-index, at 3. The paper Drijvers et al. (2010) stands out with the highest number of citations, at 168. There were 46 keywords divided into 6 groups, with the keywords Whatsapp, Geogebra, Science Technologies, and Collaborative Learning potentially being interesting and innovative research subjects related to Technology in Mathematics Education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a difference between the achievement of learning balaghah between fourth grade students of Kulliyyatul Muallimin Al-Islamiyyah Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, Central Campus and Campus Three and to find out whether the difference is significant or not. The research approach used in this study is quantitative research using inferential quantitative methods. The data analysed in this study is the learning achievement of balâghah fourth grade students of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Central Campus and Campus Three. The population in this study were all fourth grade students of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Central Campus and Campus Three. Based on the results of the T test of two independent samples, it shows that t count (12.940) is smaller than t table (1.966) and the significance value is smaller than alpha (0.05). So the researcher can conclude that there is a significant difference between the balâghah scores of fourth grade students of Kulliyyatul Muallimin Al-Islamiyyah Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Central Campus and Campus Three. With an average value (7.9018), the balâghah learning achievement of fourth grade students of Kulliyyatul Muallimin Al-Islamiyyah Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Central Campus is higher than the average balâghah score of fourth grade students of Campus Three (6.2068).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the fairness of Arabic language assessment instruments used in Muhammadiyah senior high schools by detecting the presence of Differential Item Functioning (DIF) in the Final Semester Summative Test (UAS) for 12th-grade students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta during the 2023/2024 academic year. Using a descriptive quantitative design, the research analyzed student response data from 1,157 participants across 25 schools. Data collection was conducted through documentation of test blueprints, item sheets, answer keys, and student responses. Analysis was performed using the Lord and Generalized Lord methods within the framework of Item Response Theory (IRT), focusing on three demographic variables: gender, study specialization (science vs. social studies), and school region (Yogyakarta City, Sleman, Bantul, and Kulon Progo). The Rasch model was identified as the most optimal model due to its superior fit and fulfillment of key psychometric assumptions, including unidimensionality and parameter invariance. The findings indicate that several items exhibit significant DIF across all examined variables. Eleven items showed gender-based DIF, with a higher number favoring male students. Twenty-three items demonstrated DIF by study specialization, and thirty-seven items displayed DIF based on school region, with students from Yogyakarta City benefiting the most. These results suggest that the test is not fully equitable and highlight the need for item revision to ensure fairness. The study contributes theoretically to the field of educational measurement and practically to the development of fairer evaluation practices in Islamic and language education settings.
