Analysis of Factors That Influence Adherence to Taking Medication in Elderly People with Hypertension in the Working Area of Pakpak Bharat District Sulastri Berutu; Nur'aini Nur'aini; Ramadhani Syafitri

Abstract

Hypertension is still a health problem that must be followed up, World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2022 estimates that currently the global prevalence of hypertension is 22% of the total world population. Meanwhile, the hypertension report at the Salak Health Center in 2021 was 275 cases, in 2022 there were 324 cases, in 2023 there were 397 cases. Objective research to analyze the factors that influence adherence to taking medication in elderly people with hypertension in the Working Area of ??the Salak Health Center, Salak District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. The research design used Analytical Survey method with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were all patients The population in this study were all elderly hypertensive patients in the Salak Health Center Working Area, namely 73 patients who were all made into research samples with total population techniques. Data analysis used univariate analysis, bivariate with chi-square test and multivariate with logistic regression. The results of logistic regression research show that there is an influence of knowledge p = 0.014, motivation p = 0.006, family support p = 0.004 and health worker support p = 0.031. While the dominant factor influencing compliance with taking medication in elderly people with hypertension is family support p = 0.004 with Exp (B) 90.993. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of knowledge, motivation, family support, health worker support and those that do not affect the length of suffering from hypertension and affordability of access to health services. The dominant factor, namely family support, influences compliance with taking medication in elderly people with hypertension in the Salak Health Center Working Area, Salak District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. It is suggested that the Salak Health Center is expected to be taken into consideration and input for the health center to be active in field counseling activities and use social media as a promotional medium, conduct home visits to patients' homes in an effort to monitor compliance with taking medication in order to increase the acceleration of healing of hypertension in the elderly, so as to improve health status in the elderly.

Abstract

Toddler age is a period of rapid growth and development, a state that is vulnerable to nutrition and susceptible to disease. Diarrhea in toddlers if not treated seriously can cause pain, to severe dehydration or fluid loss that ends in death. The current diarrhea control program is more prioritized on diarrhea control programs for toddlers. This research method is cross-sectional with a population of mothers and toddlers with a sample size of 175 respondents. The results of this study showed the influence of the mother's education level (p-value 0.011), exclusive breastfeeding (0.003), socio-economic (0.008), hand washing habits (0.007) on the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the Tanjung Sekayam Health Center Area, Sanggau Regency. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of the mother's education level, exclusive breastfeeding, socio-economic, hand washing habits on the incidence of diarrhea. It is expected that health workers will carry out health promotion activities about the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers to prevent infectious diseases that will result in stunting.

Abstract

According to the American Heart Association or AHA, Hypertension is a Silent Killer, with symptoms that can vary for each individual and are almost the same as the symptoms of other diseases. Blood pressure tends to increase with age i.e. people over 60 years old and this increase in blood pressure occurs naturally. Hypertension is a risk factor for various cardiovascular diseases and stroke. According to the AHA, hypertension is a disease that occurs due to an increase in systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure > 90 mmHg.the purpose to be achived in this study is to determine and analyze the factors that influences the incident of hypertension in the elderly in puskesmas rasau south labuhanbatu district. This type of research uses a descriptive analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all elderly (≥60 years) sufferers of hypertension at the Rasau District Health Center. South Labuhanbatu as many as 148 people, while the sample was 108 people using slovin technique. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of the chi-square test, it is known that the incidence of hypertension has an influence of family history, smoking, obesity, diet and lack of physical activity on the incidence of hypertension p <0.05, meaning that there is an influence of family history, smoking, obesity, diet and lack of physical activity on the incidence of hypertension. . From the results of the multivariate analysis, it is known that the most influential variable in this study is the smoking variable with an OR value of 62,850. This means that respondents who smoke have a 62 times chance of influencing the incidence of hypertension at the Rasau District Health Center. South Labuhanbatu 2023. The conclusion in this study is that smoking is the most dominant factor influencing the incidence of hypertension at the Rasau District Health Center. South Labuhan Batu. In order to reduce the prevalence of hypertension, it is hoped that patients at the Rasau District Health Center. South Labuhanbatu must implement hypertension management with a healthy lifestyle, especially not smoking, so that hypertension sufferers can have controlled blood pressure levels.
