Abstract

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics that studies the meaning of speech. One of the pragmatic materials is analyzed in this research, namely elocutionary speech acts. Locutionary speech acts themselves are speech acts with the intention of completing something. The thing that underlies this research is the researcher's curiosity about the application of illocutionary speech acts in a speech. This research aims to determine and describe the form of illocutionary speech acts in a news text learning video on Revi Nurmeyani's YouTube channel. The approach used to research this research is to use a theoretical and methodological approach, the theoretical approach used is a pragmatic approach while the methodological approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source used is speech in Revi Nurmeyani's news text learning video. Data collection was carried out using the matching and sharing method. The results of the analysis are presented using informal methods. The research results found locutionary speech acts in the parts of inviting, informing, explaining, asking and reminding with a total of 76 data taken from the data source, namely Revi Nurmeyani's YouTube channel, discussing news text material. This research can be used as reference material for understanding locutionary speech act material in pragmatics, besides that it can also be used as supporting material or examples for further research related to pragmatic material, especially regarding locutionary speech acts.

Abstract

Syntax is a branch of linguistics that studies phrases, clauses, and sentences. In this article, the focus is more on discussing the analysis of sentences in a text, in which the sentence itself is part of the syntax, namely syntactic units composed of basic constituents, usually in the form of clauses, supplemented by conjunctions when needed, and accompanied by final intonation. This article’s text is anecdotal from the Class X Indonesian Language Book of the Merdeka Curriculum. The anecdotal texts in the book are then analyzed for sentences to know whether direct or indirect sentences and sentences are standard. Analyzing a sentence certainly uses a method or method used. The method itself uses a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative descriptive method is used to make a detailed description of a particular object which is carried out systematically, factually, and accurately. The results of this study found effective sentences, ineffective sentences, declarative sentences, interrogative sentences, and imperative sentences. Based on the results of the analysis found five anecdotal texts. This research can be used as a source of learning, for example in learning about types of sentences. In addition, it can be used to measure literacy levels. As well as b improving language competence, it can also shape students' character conceptually and in the form of humor, which has become a part of life today.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan unsur teks berita yang dimuat dalam portal berita Suara Merdeka edisi 10 April 2025 serta menelaah potensinya sebagai alternatif bahan ajar teks berita di jenjang SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak dan catat sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Objek penelitian berupa tujuh berita dari rubrik nasional, internasional, dan lokal dianalisis berdasarkan kelengkapan struktur (judul, kepala, tubuh, dan ekor) serta unsur 5W+1H (what, who, when, where, why, how). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berita-berita dalam portal Suara Merdeka umumnya memenuhi kelengkapan struktur dan unsur berita secara utuh serta memuat isu-isu aktual yang relevan dengan kehidupan peserta didik. Dengan demikian, berita-berita tersebut dinilai layak dan potensial untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar yang kontekstual, aktual, serta mendukung penguatan literasi digital siswa. Penggunaan media digital sebagai bahan ajar juga sejalan dengan semangat Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis isu dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi.
