Abstract

Metode pirolisis merupakan beberapa teknik pengerjaan limbah saat dicerna. Tujuan percobaan ini adalah melakukan sampah plastik sebagai bahan bakar pirolisis. Jenis sampah plastik LDPE yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel, dan masing-masing percobaan dijalankan selama 15 menit pada suhu 100°C, 200°C, dan 300°C. Penelitian dengan variasi suhu sampel a menghasilkan minyak berwarna kuning dengan nilai kalor 10230kkl/kg nilai masa jenis 0,6 kg/m3 nilai viskositas0,40cp dan jumlah volume 20ml, sampel b menghasilkan minyak berwarnacoklat keruh dengan nilai kalor 9411,6kkl/kg nilai masa jenis 0,63 kg/m3 nilai viskositas0,58cp dan jumlah volume 38ml, sampel c menghasilakn minyak berwarna coklat jernih dengan nilai kalor 9002,4kkl/kg nilai masa jenis 0,65 kg/m3 nilai viskositas0,55cp dan jumlah volume 40ml. minyak terbaik dihasilkan pada suhu 100°C  yang memiliki nilai hampir sama dengan bahan bakar alternatif yaitu dengan nilai kalor 10230kkal/kg. Karena nilai kalornya, produk pirolisis dapat berfungsi sebagai pengganti bahan bakar konvensional

Abstract

Mesin bending portable dengan sistem hidrolik adalah alat yang digunakan untuk proses pembentukan plat dengan menekan benda kerja hingga mengalami perubahan bentuk yang menimbulkan tekukan logam pada sekitar daerah garis netral. Pada analisis pengerolan mesin bending dilakukan analisis pemilihan material yang pas guna memenuhi kemampuan mesin yang digunakan untuk pengerolan plat besi. Variable material yang dipakai pada analisis ialah : plat besi ST37 dengan ketebalan 3mm, 5mm, dan 8mm serta dengan panjang 560mm dan lebar 50mm. Hasil dari analisis pengerolan pada mesin roll bending portable, pengerolan plat ST37 diperlukan gaya tekan 2014,66 N/mm2 dengan ketebalan 3mm, 9374,9 N/mm2 dengan ketebalan 5mm dan 8mm 38399,94 N/mm2 dengan ketebalan 8mm. Tekanan hidrolik yang diperlukan didapatkan plat besi ketebalan 3mm dengan nilai 7401,36N, 5mm dengan nilai 12335N dan 8mm dengan dengan nilai 19737,54N

Abstract

The need for comunity mobility to be able lo move from one place to another is increasing. Until now, the process of mixing air with gasoline in gasoline engines can be grauped into 2, namely the conventional system using a carburetor and the injection system. This study aims to compare engine performance based on fuel comsumption from engine that were originally convetional technology and then modified to the injection type. The methodology used is true experimental, with an analysis of variance model. From the research result, the power carburetor system at 10,000 rpm reaches 15.91 hp, and fuel consumption is 0.0334 kg/hp.hour, the efficiency is 0.4275%, while the injection system at 10,000 rpm reaches 17.82 hp, fuel consumption 0.0241 kg/hp.hour and 0.5924% efficiency. So that it can be concluded that the carburetor system lacks engine performance and burns a lot of wasted heat rafter than turning it into energy. The fogging injection system is more economical than the carburetor fogging system, it is evident in each test that the injection fogging system consumes less in every one working cycel.

Abstract

In Indonesia, non-renewable fossil fuels are used to produce electrical energy which has the potential to impact the environment. Renewable energy is needed as an energy source to reduce consumption of fossil fuels. Solar thermal is one of the abundant energy sources in Indonesia, and thermoelectric generators can be used to make use of it. A thermoelectric generator can generate electricity from the sun's abundant heat energy and does not damage the environment by using a solar collector on the hot side and a heatsink on the cold side. This study aims to determine the performance of thermoelectric generators, heatsinks, solar collectors and the overall efficiency of the device. The findings of this study indicate that the energy output obtained by the collector due to variations in the sun affects the efficiency of the solar collector on the hot side of the thermoelectric generator. The efficiency of a heatsink located on the cold side of a thermoelectric generator is inversely proportional to its base heat value. The value of the temperature difference on the hot and cold sides of the thermoelectric generator fluctuates, which affects the efficiency value of the thermoelectric generator, while the useful energy and power produced by the thermoelectric generator can affect the efficiency of the system as a whole.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of adding Pertalite to fuel on engine performance and fuel consumption of Honda Beat 2014 motorcycle engines. This study used three octane booster mixtures to examine the effect of mixtures added to Pertalite fuel on engine performance of the Honda Beat 2014 In addition, the addition of an octane booster also increases fuel consumption efficiency which significantly reduces the amount of fuel consumed by the engine and produces environmentally friendly emissions when the number of octane boosters increases. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the use of Pertalite octane accelerator fuel could improve the engine performance of the Honda Beat 2014 motorcycle and reduce fuel consumption. Therefore, using an octane booster can be an attractive option for Honda Beat 2014 motorcycle owners who want to improve engine performance, optimize fuel economy, but produce emissions that are not environmentally friendly.

Abstract

The ignition system is an important component in a gasoline engine that ensures motor operation.Its function is to produce a spark using an ignition coil, which is then channeled to the spark plugvia a high-strength cable to burn the fuel mixture that has been compressed in the cylinder. Thisstudy used a dynamometer to test engine performance with varying RPM (4000, 6000, and 8000)in each trial 3 times. The research results show that the use of iridium spark plugs on the 2023Scoopy 110 cc motorbike results in an increase in engine power. More wear-resistant iridiumelectrodes provide a stronger and more stable spark, optimize fuel combustion and increaseoverall engine power. Combustion efficiency, especially fuel consumption, is also increased by theuse of iridium spark plugs. Thin iridium electrodes provide a stronger and more stable sparkthereby increasing the efficiency of fuel combustion in the combustion chamber. These findingsconfirm that the use of iridium spark plugs brings significant benefits in terms of increasing enginepower, responsiveness, fuel consumption and vehicle engine reliability. Therefore, it isrecommended to consider the use of iridium spark plugs as an effective and efficient option toimprove vehicle performance.

Abstract

The use of ethanol as a fuel is increasing, while the energy source is produced from fossil fuels, namely natural resources that cannot be renewed so that one day the supply will definitely run out. Therefore, bioethanol is needed as a renewable fuel. Bioethanol is a fuel made from plant materials. One of the raw materials for making bioethanol is sugarcane bagasse. This research discusses the effect of variations in yeast mass and fermentation time on the production of bioethanol from sugarcane bagasse using experimental methods. Here the variations in time for fermentation are 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 days and the mass of yeast is 1 gram, 3 grams, and 6 grams. The results showed that variations in yeast mass of 6 grams for 10 days produced the highest alcohol content (3.5%), while variations in the length of time of the alcohol content test results where the highest value was in variations in the length of 10 days with a total of 6%, it can be concluded that the longer the time fermentation, the alcohol content value will increase.
