Abstract

Security Guard Training and Training in Sukoharjo faces challenges in increasing the effectiveness of learning and concentration of participants. The activity "Ice Breaking as a Concentration for Security Guard Training Training in Sukoharjo" is proposed as an innovative approach to start training in a fresh and fun atmosphere with the aim of providing a brief overview of the importance of ice breaking in the context of security guard training in Sukoharjo as an effort to achieve optimal learning effectiveness. Ice breaking is seen as an essential first step to build relationships between participants, create a comfortable atmosphere, and increase participant motivation. The method for this service is in 3 stages starting from opening, content and closing and the population is security guards in Sukoharjo. The conclusion is that the implementation of ice breaking in security guard training in Sukoharjo is not just an opening step, but is a critical element in achieving training objectives by providing a strong foundation for effective and continuous learning.

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between the ability to control the emotions of Sukoharjo Police members and their level of public service orientation. Respondents involved members of the Sukoharjo Police with an age range of 18 to 57 years. The type of research is quantitative. Data was collected through a questionnaire that included sample characteristics based on age. Test data requirements include tests of validity, reliability, normality and classical assumptions. The validity test results show a number of valid questions in the variables of emotional control and public service orientation. The reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha confirms that the two variables are reliable. The normality test shows that the data is normally distributed. Classic assumption tests such as linearity and heteroscedasticity tests provide results that support the validity of regression analysis. The simple linear hypothesis test resulted in a significance value (Sig.) of 0.000 and this is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that emotional control has a significant effect on public service orientation. This shows that emotional control has a significant effect on public service orientation.

Abstract

Teenage non-commissioned officers face several challenges in managing their emotions, which can hinder their ability to perform their duties optimally. One of the main challenges is lack of experience. As newcomers, young non-commissioned officers may not be used to dealing with various stressful, dangerous situations or involving interactions with the public. Emotion management training is expected to provide a number of important benefits for juvenile non-commissioned officers and the police institution as a whole. One of the main benefits is increased performance. To achieve the expected goals and benefits, the implementation of emotion management training must be carried out systematically and continuously. Training can begin with an introductory session on the importance of managing emotions, followed by practical training on communication skills, problem solving, and relaxation techniques. In addition, training should include simulations of real situations that youth NCOs may encounter, so that they can apply the skills learned in relevant contexts. Training evaluations must be carried out periodically to ensure that training objectives are achieved and the expected benefits can be felt. Evaluation can be done through knowledge tests, performance observations, and participant satisfaction surveys. Overall, this emotion management training provides short-term benefits in the form of reduced stress and improved performance, while also providing youth non-commissioned officers with skills that are crucial for their long-term careers in the police force. Thus, investment in the development of these skills not only improves operational efficiency but also supports the psychological well-being and professionalism of future police officers.

Abstract

Mental health problems are of particular concern in the community. Health problems are not only seen from that, but also from how a person can explore himself and in his interactions with the surrounding environment. One of the causes of mental health problems that often occurs is a problem of lack of self-confidence or a lack of dissatisfaction and self-confidence. Insecure is a feeling of insecurity, or fear caused by dissatisfaction and lack of confidence in one's own capacities. Vocational High School students are a period when a person enters adolescence so that, Adolescence is a period in life to grow in search of identity and self-identity on the way to adulthood. Self-confidence can simply be interpreted as a belief in one's own abilities or strengths, which can be maximized to achieve expectations and goals. The method in this service is carried out by means of lectures which are attended by 1 class XI PS from SMK Negeri 7 Surakarta. The result of this service that is obtained is in the form of an informant's understanding related to methods or management when individuals experience insecurity.

Abstract

Anak usia dini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kecerdasan dan karakter. Di Taman Pendidikan Al Quran (TPA) Masjid Ar-Rosyid, upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melibatkan metode ice breaking sebagai alat yang efektif untuk memperbaiki suasana belajar dan mengembangkan potensi anak-anak secara holistik. Kegiatan ice breaking dirancang untuk mencairkan suasana, membangun keakraban, dan meningkatkan interaksi antara anak-anak serta antara anak dengan pendidik. Pengabdian ini mengidentifikasi dan mengimplementasikan beberapa jenis aktivitas ice breaking, seperti "Yel-yel," "Tepuk Hitam Hijau," "Buka Tutup," "Ikuti Arahan," dan "Macam-macam Buah," dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan interaksi sosial, fokus, kreativitas, serta kecerdasan emosional anak-anak. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi, rasa percaya diri, dan keterampilan sosial anak-anak, serta memperbaiki konsentrasi dan kemampuan mendengarkan mereka. Penggunaan ice breaking yang terstruktur dan variatif dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih dinamis dan efektif. Pengabdian ini juga memberikan saran untuk integrasi rutin dari metode ini, penyesuaian dengan kebutuhan anak-anak, pelatihan pendidik, dan evaluasi berkala untuk memaksimalkan manfaat dari ice breaking.
