Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan penjabaran atas kompetensi pedagogik guru pondok pesantren modern yang tidak hanya dibatasi pada pedagogical knowledge, tetapi juga mengintegrasikannya dengan content knowledge guna membentuk kompetensi yang disebut pedagogical content knowledge. Artikel ini didasarkan pada penelitian lapangan di Pondok Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah yang telah menyelenggarakan kegiatan pendidikan selama 40 tahun (1982-2022). Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa guru di pondok pesantren harus (1) memiliki pengetahuan yang mendalam tentang materi (mâddah) yang diajarkannya dan (2) memiliki keterampilan untuk mengajarkan materi tersebut. Untuk yang pertama, pesantren mengkajinya dari latar belakang keilmuan, termasuk perilaku guru sehari-hari, membenahinya melalui pembinaan dan pelatihan, dan mewajibkannya untuk menyiapkan pelajaran secara tertulis (I'dâd Tadrîs). Adapun yang kedua, pesantren menawarkan micro-teaching pada awal penerimaan sebagai guru, membentuk kelompok Ta'hîl, dan sewaktu-waktu mengangkat guru senior untuk mengambil alih pengawasan langsung. Dengan demikian kualitas pembelajaran dapat terpantau bahkan ditingkatkan. Dokumen ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi lembaga tersebut ataupun lembaga pendidikan lainnya

Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini berusaha memotret manajemen profesi guru berbasis kaderisasi yang dilakukan di Pesantren Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah Medan sebagai faktor yang memiliki peran besar dalam pengembangan dan pertahanan lembaga. Gambaran mengenainya penting untuk dielaborasi dengan tujuan manarasikan best practice yang dapat diduplikasi lembaga-lembaga semisal. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan langkah-langkah yang telah lazim dikenal yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Tabulasi data direduksi untuk kemudian disimpulkan bahwa manajemen profesi guru ada pada proses rekrutmen dan peningkatan mutu. Untuk yang pertama bersifat penyemaian bibit guru, sedangkan yang kedua merupakan pematangan posisi guru sebagai sosok yang diteladani. Tulisan ini ditutup dengan diskusi mengenai upaya pematangan basis kaderisasi di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan guna merespon ketimpangan yang sering terjadi antara pertumbuhan kuantitas lembaga-lembaga pendidikan yang diselenggarakan dengan peningkatan kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan di dalamnya. Abstract This article attempts to present cadre-based professional management of teachers at the Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School in Medan as a factor that plays an important role in the development and defense of the institution. This discussion is very important to provide an overview and show that the practices used by the institutions studied can be duplicated. The method used is qualitative with known steps: interviews, observation, and documentation. All data is reduced to conclude that teacher professional management is involved in recruitment and quality improvement. The first is about teacher development, and the second is about maturing the teacher's position as a role model. This article ends with a discussion on efforts to develop regeneration bases in educational institutions to eliminate the discrepancy between the growth in the number of educational institutions and improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Purpose -Teacher commitment is a central pillar in improving the quality of education, particularly within the unique ecosystem of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), where educators play multifaceted roles. this study aims to examine the optimization of permanent instructors' job commitments by focusing on three major aspects: caring, responsibility, and self-discipline. Method -The research method is qualitative, using a phenomenological approach. Data collecting methods include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data management process involves data reduction, data display, data analysis, and concluding. The informants included the Pesantren Leader, the Director of Teaching, and two teachers. Findings -The study findings demonstrate that the commitment of pesantren instructors may be established through the hierarchy of strengthening pesantren's cultural values. Pesantren culture is manifested through the five spirits of the pesantren, the most basic of which is the spirit of truthfulness, which forms the pupils' character. Another factor that influences a teacher's dedication is the loyalty that has developed while becoming a student. Pesantren's life cycle involves the regeneration of leadership and instruction. Finally, flexibility in a positive peer environment and a sense of duty for professionalism lead to teacher commitment. Implications - Socially, the findings have consequences for Pesantren's work culture paradigm. The study has societal implications for enhancing the pesantren system through pesantren culture. Originality - this study lies in its cultural perspective on commitment, offering a unique model of educator development based on pesantren values rather than conventional corporate paradigms.

Abstract

Teachers ' commitment is the main driving force behind establishing pesantren education services. This research aims to identify a model of teacher commitment to curriculum enhancement. The study is qualitative, utilizing descriptive survey methodologies. According to the study's findings, data was collected through interviews with five informants, including Leaders, Coordinators, and various senior instructors. Pesantren's curriculum is structured around five orientations: holistic, skill development, based on local wisdom, character-oriented, and field-project-based. This perspective appears in the official and hidden curricula and is implemented through direct learning methods. Teachers' commitment to this pesantren is divided into three categories: affective commitment, which has an emotional influence; normative commitment, which demonstrates pedagogical characteristics; and continuous commitment, which prioritizes the pesantren's interests. Combining all of these factors leads to the efficacy of the educational program. The close bond among instructors at the Ar Raudlatul Hasanah and Darul Arafah Islamic Boarding School in Medan increases their dedication to the organization and improves the quality of education delivered to pupils. According to research conducted on these pesantren, social support, a sense of belonging, participation in professional growth, and a mentorship system all play a vital role in building a happy and effective educational environment. The study has implications for developing group activities that create friendship among teachers to foster commitment and the spirit of togetherness.

Abstract

The reading of the Qur'an universally reveals a more complex and contextual meaning related to social education. This research aims to contextualize the values of social education contained in the Qur'an as a whole. Qualitative methods are used in this study, with content analysis as the main analytical tool for the data presented. The primary data sources used are Qur'anic verses that have a social education dimension, while secondary data include theses, articles, dissertations, and other documents relevant to this research. The results of this study show that the social education contained in the Qur'an focuses not only on improving the quality of individuals, but also society as a whole. This goal can be achieved through guidance and internalization of the teachings of social education contained in the Qur'an from an early age. This research also shows that the universal reading of the Qur'an can reveal more complex mechanisms of understanding, which significantly enriches the understanding of the social educational values contained in it.
