Abstract

Results of research on the use of visual-Media to improve listening skills in student of class X AK.2 SMKN 3 Wajo, concluded that students' listening skills can be increased through the use of visual-Media learning. Listening skills of students in the first cycle in the category enough to average 68.71, and yet meet the expected learning completeness, then the second cycle increased to excellent category with an average of 83.87, and has met the expected learning completeness. Increasing listening skills through the use of visual-Media is supported by the increase in student learning activities, such as: active students prepare themselves in the content of chert listening to visual-Media, listen to the story in the visual-Media, noted the contents of the story, questioning related to the content of the story, and concluded the material content of the story on visual-Media.

Abstract

The problem in this research is whether learning with the talking stick type is cooperative model can improve students' speaking skills in SMPN 8 North Kolaka. The subjects in this study were all students of Class SMPN 8 Kolaka Utara with a total of 20 students consisting of 9 male students and 11 female students who were enrolled in the 2022/2023school year in odd semester. The focus of research is the learning process, namely by observing the process that occurs during the learning activities taking place, which includes the activities of teachers, students, and interactions of various elements involved in learning activities and students' speaking skills at obtained the end of each cycle after the implementation of the talking stick type cooperative model . This type of research is a classroom action research study consisting of two cycles, where each cycles functions of two meetings, with the stages of activities including planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting

Abstract

Improving English Listening Skills Through Audio-Visual for Class VII Students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gilireng. Academic Year 2021/2022.This research was carried out at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 1 Gilireng in Class VII where the students' ability to listen to English was quite low. The purpose of writing this classroom action research is to find out whether the Audio-Visual learning model can increase student activity and learning achievement. The data collection methods are observation and learning achievement tests. The data analysis method is descriptive for both qualitative data and quantitative data. The results obtained from this research are that Audio-Visual can improve activities and student learning achievements. This is evident from the results obtained in Cycle I which was 6.3 for learning achievement. From Cycle I to Cycle II it rose to 7.9 for learning achievement. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the Audio-Visual learning model can improve learning achievement.
