Abstract

The urgency of analyzing the needs of learning media is very important to analyze the needs of student learning media because there is a possibility that future learning will increase. For this reason, it is important to conduct further research on school policies in meeting student learning needs during the learning process. This study aims to analyze the needs of learning media in biology subjects at SMAN 4 Tanjungpinang. The research method used was descriptive and quantitative analysis with data collection through questionnaires and interviews with biology teachers. The subject of this study was a grade 11 science student of SMAN 4 Tanjungpinang. The results showed that teachers always use learning media in every meeting and with the existence of learning media makes students motivated and not easily bored in the learning process. However, students still need a variety of learning media to support learning needs. This article emphasizes the importance of effective learning through the use of appropriate media and materials.

Abstract

Given that importance of human resources in the development and progress of a company, companies should consider human resources more than just company assets but as partners in business. As a partner in business, the company must be fair for what human resources have given to the company. This aims of studies were determining the effect of compensation and motivation on employee performance at PT Dinamika Logamu Mulia. The designs of that studies using a researches designed and quantitatives causality research methods. The results of this study indicate that compensation (X1), and motivation (X2) have a partial, simultaneous effect. and significant on employee performance (Y). The results of the determination coefficient test show that compensation (X1) and motivation (X2) are 79.4 percent, while the remaining 20.6 percent is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Abstract

PT Telkom Akses merupakan salah satu cabang usaha milik PT Telkom yang bergerak dalam operasi dan pemeliharaan jaringan internet cepat (broadband) di Indonesia. Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat cepat mengharuskan perusahaan untuk bisa beradaptasi dalam pasar, hal ini secara tidak langsung memicu persaingan yang ketat dalam dunia bisnis dan memengaruhi ekspektasi perusahaan pada lingkungan internalnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara lingkungan kerja dan beban kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan secara simultan dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan beban kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja secara simultan pada PT Telkom Akses Wilayah Telekomunikasi (Witel) Jatinegara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data primer yang diolah dengan SPSS versi 21. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 60 orang karyawan yang didapat dengan menghitung rumus slovin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel lingkungan kerja secara parsial tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, variabel beban kerja secara parsial berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, dan variabel lingkungan kerja dan beban kerja secara simultan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan.   PT Telkom Akses is one of PT Telkom's business branches engaged in the operation and maintenance of fast internet networks (broadband) in Indonesia. The rapid development of technology requires companies to be able to adapt in the market, this indirectly triggers fierce competition in the business world and affects the company's expectations in its internal environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the work environment and workload on employee job satisfaction partially and to determine the influence of work environment and workload on job satisfaction simultaneously at PT Telkom Akses Wilayah Telekomunikasi (Witel) Jatinegara. This research uses a quantitative method with a questionnaire to collect primary data and processed with SPSS version 21. The sample in this study was 60 employees obtained by calculating the Slovin formula. The results of this study show that work environment partially do not have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction, workload partially has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction, and work environment and workload simultaneously have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to investigate the students` reading comprehension of narrative text taught without using the Context Clues technique, to investigate the students` reading comprehension of narrative text taught by using the Context clues technique, and to determine whether there is a significant difference in the improvement of students` reading comprehension taught using Context Clues Technique and taught without Context Clues Technique at Islamic Senior High School Daarun Nahdhah Thawalib Bangkinang's tenth-grade students. The population of the research was the tenth-grade students of Islamic Senior High School Daarun Nahdhah Thawalib Bangkinang. The classes chosen as the sample were IV A, the experimental class, and IV C, the control class, each of which included 34 students. The researcher employed a pre-test and a post-test to collect data on the student's reading comprehension of narrative text in this research. In addition, there was a large effect of using the Context Clues technique on students` reading comprehension of the narrative text of the tenth-grade students at Islamic Senior High School Daarun Nahdhah Thawalib Bangkinang, the result of Eta Squared was 0.70.
