Abstract

The most frequent disasters in Jember are floods. The most severely affected area is Panti District. The flash floods and landslides in Panti sub-district in 2006 resulted in loss of life and large property losses. This is caused by bare forest vegetation, steep slope topography, and prolonged high rainfall. The population that is vulnerable to disasters is youth. The purpose of this study was to increase youth preparedness knowledge at MTs SA Miftahul Ulum, Sodong Hamlet, Kemiri Village, Panti District in dealing with floods and landslides. The method of providing education is carried out by means of a Team Games Tournament (TGT). Evaluation was carried out using a one group pre-test post-test design. The results obtained were that the value of youth preparedness knowledge significantly increased (p-value <0.001). The TGT method has proven to be effective in increasing disaster preparedness knowledge because the absorption of the material is easier to understand and accept and students are more active in participating during the process of delivering the material.

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia is an agrarian country with the majority of its population working in the agricultural sector. The Indonesian agricultural sector ranks first in the number of workplace accidents, including the incidence of lung disease. The factors that most influence respiratory problems in farmers are the result of exposure to pesticides and unhealthy smoking behavior. Lung disease experienced by farmers often affects sleep quality. Poor sleep quality is caused by shortness of breath, coughing, and excessive production of secretions. Inadequate sleep causes physical disturbances. This study aims to analyze the potential effect of decreased lung function on the sleep quality of farmers. Methods: This is a quantitative research that uses interviews with respondents using two questionnaires. The research sample used purposive sampling with 38 respondents in Kelurahan Antirogo, Kecamatan Sumbersari, Kabupaten Jember. The instruments used are the Lung Functioning Questionnaire and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the correlation between variables was evaluated using Paired T-Test. Result: The results show that there is a significant decrease in the value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 (p < 0.05). The explanation was added by linking the discussion to decreased lung function on the Lung Functioning Questionnaire indicators, such as cough intensity, additional breath sounds, shortness of breath, and duration of smoking. In addition, a discussion was also given regarding the decline in lung function by type of gender, age, education, and occupation. Conclusion: An indication of decreased lung function is a factor that can affect sleep quality.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a problem of malnutrition, recurrent infections, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation which causes disturbances in child development. Poor nutritional management in golden-age children is still a problem in many countries, including Indonesia. Management efforts are a challenge because the dissemination of information and education about stunting is not evenly distributed so awareness of nutrition management to prevent stunting is still low. This study aims to analyze and explain telehealth as e-parenting with the Family Centered-Care approach as an effective intervention in preventing stunting in the era of society 5.0. Method: The method in this study is to use a literature review. Articles are obtained through search sites such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Scopus, NCBI, and ProQuest as well as books that are relevant to the topic. The criteria used in searching in Indonesian and English with the publication year range of 2018-2022 for journals then carried out analysis and synthesis using the PRISMA method. Results: The effectiveness of interventions provided via telehealth with a Family Centered-Care approach is oriented towards client resources at home, but remains under the supervision of health workers. This intervention significantly impacts lifestyle changes including physical activity, health education, and nutrition management. Conclusion: Telehealth can be a new alternative in the era of society 5.0 as an effort to cut time and mobilize more efficiently so that understanding and dissemination of information is wider and more equitable so that stunting can be prevented at an early age.
