Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that can cause complications in the form of diabetic wounds. Patients with diabetic wounds require intensive care and can cause anxiety. Family support plays an important role in reducing patient anxiety. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between family support and anxiety in patients treating diabetes wounds at the Husada Jombang Clinic. This study used a cross-sectional design involving 100 patients treating diabetic wounds at the Husada Jombang Clinic. Data collection was carried out using a family support questionnaire and an anxiety questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and anxiety in diabetic wound care patients (p<0.001, r=-0.657). The higher the family support, the lower the patient's anxiety level. Family support has an important role in reducing anxiety in diabetic wound care patients. Therefore, the role of the family in providing emotional, informational, instrumental and assessment support needs to be increased to help patients manage anxiety during diabetes wound care.

Abstract

The most frequent disasters in Jember are floods. The most severely affected area is Panti District. The flash floods and landslides in Panti sub-district in 2006 resulted in loss of life and large property losses. This is caused by bare forest vegetation, steep slope topography, and prolonged high rainfall. The population that is vulnerable to disasters is youth. The purpose of this study was to increase youth preparedness knowledge at MTs SA Miftahul Ulum, Sodong Hamlet, Kemiri Village, Panti District in dealing with floods and landslides. The method of providing education is carried out by means of a Team Games Tournament (TGT). Evaluation was carried out using a one group pre-test post-test design. The results obtained were that the value of youth preparedness knowledge significantly increased (p-value <0.001). The TGT method has proven to be effective in increasing disaster preparedness knowledge because the absorption of the material is easier to understand and accept and students are more active in participating during the process of delivering the material.

Abstract

Background: Biological, cognitive, and socioemotional changes occur during adolescence, the time between childhood and maturity. While gadgets have many benefits, excessive use may also be detrimental. Devices are tools that can be utilized for both educational and recreational purposes. Objectives: Finding out the mental and behavioral traits of teenagers with technology addiction is the aim of this study. Methods: This study uses a descriptive quantitative research approach and a cross-sectional technique. The study's sample consisted of one hundred youths, ages thirteen to fifteen. A random selection technique was used to choose the sample of teenagers from SMPN 1 Peterongan. Descriptions were part of the data analysis for this investigation. Results: Of the answers, 57% were from men. Only a tiny minority of teenagers suffer from mental and behavioral disorders, including social challenges, emotional issues, behavioral changes, inattention, and difficulties with peer interactions, whereas 52% of them have a modest level of gadget addiction. It is feasible to conclude that adolescent gadget addiction can result in mental and behavioral issues.   Conclusion: Since parental monitoring is essential to preventing adolescents' growing addiction to electronic devices and behavioral changes, the author makes recommendations for further study that involves parents as a way to address the problem of gadget addiction in teenagers.

Abstract

Background: Iron (Fe) is an essential micronutrient involved in hemoglobin synthesis, playing a significant role in maternal health during pregnancy. Compliance with iron tablet consumption remains a challenge, often influenced by various psychosocial factors. Among them, husband support is believed to have a strong influence on pregnant women's adherence to iron supplementation. Objectives: This study aimed to explore the meaning of husband support in enhancing pregnant women’s adherence to iron tablet consumption at BPM SM Singgosari, Jabon Village, Jombang. Methods: A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to gain in-depth insights into the experiences of pregnant women. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving pregnant women attending antenatal care at the midwifery clinic. Thematic analysis was used to identify emerging patterns and meanings from the participants’ narratives. Results: The findings revealed that husband support not only functioned as motivational encouragement but also had emotional and social dimensions that significantly influenced the readiness of pregnant women to follow medical recommendations. Acts of support included reminding of consumption schedules, providing emotional comfort, and accompanying antenatal visits. Such involvement fostered a stronger understanding and compliance with iron supplementation. Conclusion: The study highlights the critical role of husband support in promoting iron tablet adherence among pregnant women. The findings suggest the need for health interventions that actively involve partners, emphasizing a family-based educational approach to improve maternal nutrition outcomes.
