Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulty of students in determining the main idea in a paragraph. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with research methods in the form of descriptive research methods.  Data sources taken in the form of interviews, observations, journals, articles, books, and other scientific works that are relevant and in accordance with the object of research study. Data collection techniques used, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results showed that there were 2 causes of students' difficulties in determining the main idea of a paragraph, namely internal and external factors, internal factors include, 1) students do not understand the main idea of a paragraph; 2) students have not been able to distinguish between which are the main sentences and explanatory sentences; 3) students do not like the main idea material; 4) lack of interest in reading in students. While external factors include, 1) the lack of teacher methods and strategies in providing main idea material so that students dislike main idea material; 2) the use of local languages that become everyday language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan integrasi pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka dengan kurikulum sebelumnya di SD Persis. Kurikulum Merdeka adalah inovasi pendidikan yang memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan relevansi pendidikan dengan mengintegrasikan inovasi, kebebasan, dan kemampuan siswa untuk menyesuaikan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang diambil berupa hasil wawancara, observasi, jurnal, artikel, buku, dan karya ilmiah lainnya yang relevan dan sesuai dengan objek kajian penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka di SD PERSIS telah dijalankan dengan baik, melibatkan perencanaan yang matang, penerapan teknologi, dan penekanan pada pembentukan karakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila karena mencerminkan upaya untuk menciptakan generasi yang mandiri, kreatif, berkebinekaan, dan berakhlak mulia sesuai dengan nilai-nilai bangsa Indonesia. Abstract

Good quality education is essential to produce competent human resources who are able to compete in the global arena. However, challenges in education often hinder effective learning processes so that optimization in the use of learning media is needed to overcome challenges in education and improve learner competence. This study aims to identify and analyze various learning media used in the learning process and their influence on student learning outcomes. The research method used, namely a qualitative approach with a literature study. The research stages include article collection, article reduction, article display, discussion, and conclusion, with data sources in the form of national journal articles in the last five years (2019-2024). The results show that learning media can enrich learners' learning experiences and contribute significantly to improving their learning outcomes. With better understanding, increased brain absorption and stronger memory, learners are able to achieve higher and have a deeper understanding of the material studied. These findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the use of learning media in addressing educational challenges and improving student competencies.
