Abstract

The planting schedules and harvest quality have changed due to climate change. Consequently, the harvest yields occasionally fail to meet the market's demands and threaten food security. This situation will lead to an increase in food prices and also impact other health issues, such as stunting. Therefore, the aimĀ for food security remains an important project to enhance national development. The community service team from the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, in partnership with the Mundu Village Government in Klaten Regency, organized a series of service activities to enhance food security through the "Rumah Tahan Pangan" competition program for the Mundu Village community. The community service agenda included several strategies: socialization, training, and mentorship. The results of these activities indicate that the residents of Mundu Village are willing to support the food security programme. This is illustrated by a 40.6 percent increase in knowledge about food security at the household level, a 5.4 percent increase in knowledge about using yard land, and a 32.4 percent increase in understanding of balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Developing rural economies that focus on village independence through small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) entrepreneurship provides significant benefits for the community and local government. By improving access to production resources, technology, and capital, it is hoped that the production and productivity of the community will increase, along with the realization of welfare through product sales and the creation of new jobs in the agrotourism, handicrafts, and tourism sectors. Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency, has entrepreneurial potential from livestock and agricultural products. However, low digital literacy among business actors poses a major challenge. This community service aims to enhance digital literacy through training and assistance in creating WhatsApp Business, TikTok, and Instagram accounts. The methods of socialization and training are expected to encourage improved product marketing, ultimately enhancing the welfare of the village community. Program results indicate a 40% increase in understanding of social media marketing, a 32.4% increase in the use of digital marketplaces, and a 13.4% increase in WhatsApp Business. With support from digital technology, local products from Mundu Village are expected to compete in a broader market.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Global Economic Policy Uncertainty (GEPU) on sectoral stock indices in Indonesia, specifically the financial, energy, and consumer cyclical sectors within the framework of the Arbitrage Pricing Theory (APT). Using monthly data from January 2021 to June 2025 and applying the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the research examines both the short- and long-run relationships between GEPU, key macroeconomic variables, and sectoral stock performance. The findings reveal that GEPU exerts a negative and significant influence on the financial and energy sectors, indicating capital withdrawal and higher risk premiums during periods of global uncertainty. In contrast, the consumer cyclical sector shows a positive response, suggesting short-term resilience as domestic consumption rebounded in the post-pandemic recovery phase. These results highlight that each sector responds differently to external shocks through distinct transmission channels: financial intermediation, commodity pricing, and consumer sentiment. The evidence provides valuable insights for both investors and policymakers to identify resilient sectors and to design strategic responses that enhance market stability and support sustainable economic growth (SDG 8) in periods of heightened global uncertainty.
