Abstract

Abstrak Dalam era digitalisasi yang semakin berkembang, pengelolaan pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) menghadapi tantangan sekaligus peluang yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi prospek pengelolaan pendidikan MI di tengah kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Dengan memanfaatkan data statistik serta contoh kasus dari berbagai sumber, artikel ini akan membahas bagaimana digitalisasi dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, memperluas akses pendidikan, dan mendukung perkembangan keterampilan sosial dan emosional anak. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi teknologi di MI dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengelolaan yang lebih efektif. Penelitin ini menngunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan MI dapat memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan anak, asalkan didukung oleh kurikulum yang relevan dan pelatihan yang memadai bagi pengajar. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan MI dapat bertransformasi menjadi lembaga pendidikan yang lebih adaptif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan generasi digital. In the era of increasingly digitalization, the management of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) education faces significant challenges and opportunities for children's development. This research aims to explore the prospects for managing MI education amidst advances in information and communication technology. By utilizing statistical data and case examples from various sources, this article will discuss how digitalization can improve the quality of learning, expand access to education, and support the development of children's social and emotional skills. In addition, this research will also identify the challenges faced in implementing technology in MI and provide recommendations for more effective management. This research uses a qualitative approach and data collection techniques using library research. The research results show that the integration of technology in MI education can have a significant positive impact on children's development, as long as it is supported by a relevant curriculum and adequate training for teachers. Through this approach, it is hoped that MI can transform into an educational institution that is more adaptive and responsive to the needs of the digital generation.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi dan implementasi pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidayah. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan analisis dokumen di beberapa madrasah di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidayah berfokus pada pengembangan nilai-nilai religius, sosial, dan moral melalui kurikulum yang terintegrasi. Selain itu, keterlibatan orang tua dan komunitas juga berperan penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan program pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penguatan strategi implementasi di tingkat kebijakan dan praktik. This research aims to explore the strategy and implementation of character education at Madrasah Ibtidayah. The method used is a qualitative study with data collection through literature study and document analysis in several madrasas in Indonesia. The research results show that character education at Madrasah Ibtidayah focuses on developing religious, social and moral values ​​through an integrated curriculum. Apart from that, the involvement of parents and the community also plays an important role in supporting the success of character education programs. This research provides recommendations for strengthening implementation strategies at the policy and practice levels.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving skills are essential competencies in primary education, yet many elementary school students still struggle to understand concepts and apply them effectively. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach offers an alternative learning strategy that is more applicable and contextual to address these challenges. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of STEM based learning in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The research employed a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, beginning with the collection of quantitative data through problem solving tests, followed by qualitative data from classroom observations and interviews with teachers and students. The research subjects were fifthgrade students at MIN 3 Rokan Hulu. The results indicate that students who participated in STEM-based learning experienced a significant improvement in their problem-solving skills compared to the control group. STEM learning also fostered active engagement, critical thinking, and deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. Nevertheless, the implementation of STEM-based learning faced challenges such as limited facilities, insufficient teacher training, and technical constraints in the field. Therefore, ongoing support in resource development and teacher capacity building is crucial for the optimal implementation of STEM strategies in primary school settings.

Abstract

Public speaking is an essential skill that should be developed from an early age to foster students’ confidence and communication abilities. Initial observations at SD Islam Fastabiqul Khairot revealed that many upper-grade students experienced anxiety and a lack of self-confidence when speaking in public. To address this issue, this community service program was implemented in the form of basic public speaking training using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The training consisted of eight sessions and involved 11 students from grades IV, utilizing interactive methods such as role-play, storytelling, and group presentations. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed significant improvement: the number of students in the low-confidence category decreased from 7 to 1, while those in the high and very high categories increased from 1 to 6 students. Student participation also improved, with 72.8% categorized as active or highly active during the sessions. This program proved effective in enhancing students’ communication skills and encouraging them to speak confidently in public. Therefore, the basic public speaking training is recommended for continued implementation and expansion to other education levels
