Abstract

Mother's breast milk is the best food for babies because it is able to meet children's nutritional needs during 0-6 months. One of the problems with exclusive breastfeeding is that breast milk production. This was an impact on achieving exclusive breastfeeding coverage, based on UNICEF data, exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia is around 50.7% for children under five aged 0-6 months. Breast milk has many benefits for babies and mothers, some of which are breast milk containing various complete nutrients for babies, strengthening and establishing love between mother and baby, reducing the risk of bleeding and speeding up the recovery of the mother's health. Based on this background, it is necessary to carry out research which aims to examine and determine the factors that determine the failure of providing exclusive breastfeeding to working mothers. The method used in this research is a critical review of complete texts in Indonesian. Articles were selected in stages using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis (PRISMA) assessment tool, then duplicate filtering was carried out, screening was carried out based on title and abstract, full text, feasibility study and until the final stage 8 articles were found that met the inclusion criteria and feasibility study. The results of research based on 8 selected articles found that the determining factors for the failure of exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers were the level of education, knowledge and attitudes. Factors that may occur are insufficient working hours and breast milk production. The strengthening factor is support from superiors, family and health workers

Abstract

Infant mortality rates (IMR) at the global and national levels occur mostly during the neonatal period. One way to reduce infant mortality is to provide the best food, namely breast milk. The breastfeeding process can be hampered due to several problems, one of which is the occurrence of breast milk dams. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between mothers' knowledge about breastfeeding techniques and breast milk dams at PMB Pratiwi Agustian. The research method used was a quantitative analytic study with a cross sectional design. The research sample was 28 respondents using total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of breastfeeding mothers with good knowledge of breastfeeding techniques did not experience breast milk dams as many as 5 people (71.4%), 13 people (76.5%) did not experience breast milk dams in the moderate category, and 4 people (100.0%) experienced breast milk dams in the poor category. Correlation analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and breast milk dams in nursing mothers at PMB Pratiwi Agustian with a significant value of p = 0.015. Lack of knowledge about proper breastfeeding techniques can increase the risk of breast milk dams in mothers. Therefore, improving mothers' knowledge and skills in breastfeeding through proper education and counseling is crucial to prevent or reduce the incidence of breast milk dams.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the chronic diseases with high prevalence that requires continuous educational efforts. Booklets as simple printed media are considered effective in increasing patient knowledge about the prevention and management of hypertension. This study is a literature review study that aims to analyze the effectiveness of using booklets as educational media in increasing knowledge of hypertension. Articles were obtained from the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases using the keywords: "Booklet" OR "Educational Booklet" AND "Hypertension" OR "High Blood Pressure" AND "Knowledge" OR "Health Education". A total of 10 articles were selected based on the inclusion criteria and selected using the PRISMA diagram. The results of the review showed that the use of booklets consistently increased the knowledge of hypertension patients, both in adult, elderly, and adolescent groups. Booklets have also been shown to be effective when combined with mentoring from cadres or health workers. These results are in line with the theory of health literacy and educational communication which emphasizes the importance of visual media and readability. In conclusion, booklets are an effective educational media, and can be adapted for various target groups in an effort to increase knowledge about hypertension.
