Abstract

Modern education is currently undergoing a significant transformation with the integration of technology in various aspects of learning. Technological innovations, such as online learning platforms, computer-based applications, and the use of technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), have introduced new, more flexible, and interactive approaches to education. This study aims to explore technological innovations and approaches in modern education, as well as their impacts on the learning and teaching process. The research employs a library research method, analyzing various relevant literatures on the application of technology in education. Data was collected through a literature review of journal articles, books, and academic publications discussing this topic. The research findings indicate that technology has brought positive impacts to education, including improvements in access, interactivity, and personalized learning. Additionally, new approaches such as blended learning, gamification, and adaptive learning are increasingly being implemented to meet students' individual needs. However, challenges such as the digital divide and resistance to change remain significant barriers that need to be addressed. This study concludes that, while technology offers various benefits, its implementation requires adequate support from all relevant stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

As a leader in an educational institution, a school principal has a great influence on the institution and also the community within the institution. The essence of transformation is changing potential into real energy. School principals who are able to carry out leadership transformations mean they can change the potential of their institution into energy to improve the performance of existing teachers. Transformational leadership is described as a leadership style that can arouse or motivate employees, so that they can develop and achieve performance at a high level, beyond what they previously expected. Transformational leadership in principle motivates subordinates to do better than what they can do, in other words it can increase subordinates' trust or self-confidence which will have an effect on improving performance

Abstract

This study examines how the management of new students functions as a preventive system in mitigating bullying behavior in Islamic boarding schools. Until now, research on bullying in pesantren has mostly focused on case handling and counseling approaches, while the role of student management during the initial admission and adaptation phase as a structural prevention instrument is still relatively limited. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Pondok Pesantren Tanwirul Ulum Umbulsari Semboro Jember through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and SaldaƱa, with validation through triangulation and member checking. The research results show that bullying mitigation is implemented through three integrated stages of new student management, namely: (1) acceptance and orientation that combines administrative, adaptive, and cultural mechanisms; (2) adaptation guidance and ongoing character development; and (3) internal supervision and regulation through restorative justice-based counseling, involvement of students' guardians, and formal behavior agreements. These three stages form a preventive system that not only addresses cases of bullying but also suppresses its structural and cultural roots. This study contributes to the development of Islamic education management by positioning new student management as a preventive governance framework in bullying mitigation in pesantren.
