Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the extent of the role of social media on students' English vocabulary mastery and also to describe the role of social media on students' vocabulary acquisition related to their respective use of social media. It uses the case study method. The data needed for this study were collected from student observations and questionnaires. Data were collected from direct observation and analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods to find out how to explain social media activity to students. By using this method, researchers can find out the average activeness of students on the most frequently used social media. This observation was also carried out to find out between social media activity and student vocabulary achievement. Meanwhile, the data collected from the questionnaire results were then analyzed using the descriptive data method and the classification method of social media activity from Nuraini (2011). This method was used to describe students based on their social media activity.Therefore, the results of this study indicate that there is student activity and vocabulary achievement so that social media plays an important role in achieving student vocabulary. However, some of the students have differences with different levels of social media activity. Most of the students with higher social media activity were able to achieve better vocabulary than those with lower social media activity, although there were some students with lower social media activity who could achieve better scores than those who were very active. . These conditions indicate that social media has a role in students' vocabulary mastery. As a researcher, I suggest that teachers and students try to use social media as a medium for language learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Belajar merupakan sebuah proses dimana siswa memperoleh pengetahuan, keterampilan, pemahaman, atau pengalaman baru. Hasil pengamatan saat proses pembelajaran sering dijumpai siswa yang merasa jenuh dengan materi-materi yang disampaikan. Sehingga proses pembelajaran yang disampaikan kurang efektif. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut maka guru perlu memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dengan mendeteksi permasalahan yang ada di kelas. salah satu permasalahan tersebut yaitu kejenuhan saat proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan oleh peneliti untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dalam mengatasi kejenuhan belajar. Guru harus mengetahui kajian sistem saraf di otak manusia atau dikenal sebagai neurosainsetiap. Karena pada proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan pasti melibatkan kinerja otak. Dalam proses pembelajaran, otak membutuhkan stimulasi yang bervariasi untuk tetap terlibat dan mencegah kejenuhan. Model pembelajaran yang lebih mendorong keaktifan, kemandirian dan tanggung jawab dalam diri siswa sesuai dengan model pembelajaran adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT). Pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT ini terlihat siswa antusias dan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat mengatasi kejenuhan belajar siswa. Selain itu pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT juga dapat menciptakan menciptakan kejeahteraan dan kebahagiaan (Wellbeing).

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi teori komunikasi kontemporer dalam branding busana Muslim sebagai sarana syiar Islam. Di era digital, fashion Muslim tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan berbusana syar'i, tetapi juga berperan sebagai medium dakwah yang efektif. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana teori komunikasi kontemporer dapat diterapkan dalam strategi branding busana Muslim untuk memperkuat pesan-pesan dakwah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teori komunikasi kontemporer dalam branding busana Muslim memiliki tiga dimensi utama: dimensi spiritual yang menekankan nilai-nilai Islam, dimensi sosial yang mempertimbangkan konteks budaya, dan dimensi komersial yang memperhatikan aspek bisnis. Integrasi ketiga dimensi ini melalui strategi komunikasi yang tepat menghasilkan branding yang efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan Islam sekaligus memenuhi tuntutan pasar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis dalam pengembangan strategi branding busana Muslim yang dapat mempertahankan esensi syiar Islam sambil beradaptasi dengan dinamika industri fashion global. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi para praktisi industri fashion Muslim dalam mengembangkan strategi komunikasi yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Google Sites-based learning media that incorporates Banten cultural elements for teaching social and natural sciences, specifically focusing on cultural heritage material. The effectiveness of this media in enhancing students' interest and learning outcomes is also examined. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, utilizing the ADDIE framework, which comprises five key phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data sources for this study consist of students, teachers, and relevant documents. Data collection instruments include observation guidelines, interview protocols, questionnaires, and documentation sheets. Both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques are used to examine the data. The results indicate that the validation of the Banten culture-based Google Sites learning material yields a score of 96%, categorized as 'Very Good'. The validation by media experts achieves a score of 88.33%, also categorized as 'Very Good'. Furthermore, the effectiveness test reveals an N-Gain value of 76% and a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the Banten culture-based Google Sites learning media is effective in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes.
