Abstract

ABSTRACT The important role of the family in the mother's ability to provide exclusive breastfeeding to her child is one factor. The mother gets full support so she can care for her child well. The external factor that most influences the success of exclusive breastfeeding is family support. Exclusive breastfeeding will not be successful if family support is lacking. Some breastfeeding mothers still have difficulty producing breast milk in the right way. Three-quarters of a dozen breastfeeding mothers were respondents in this study. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, SOP sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out by considering research ethics and using editing, coding and tabulation. Analysis was carried out before and after intervention using the McNemar test. The aim is to find out how family support influences oxytocin massage for ease of breastfeeding. There is strong evidence that there is a substantial change in breastfeeding fluency between pretest and posttest, as shown by the findings of the McNemar test which produces a significance value (sig.) of 0.00. The operational area of the Arjasa Community Health Center will be the research location from October 2022 to January 2023. Based on the Chi Square test findings, characteristics that can interfere with smooth breastfeeding do not show a significant relationship. It is recommended that more research be carried out to find out whether maternal massage significantly affects how well breast milk flows.

Abstract

The quality of agricultural products, such as corn, is greatly influenced by various factors, both environmental factors and agricultural engineering factors. This post-harvest quality affects product performance and is in line with consumer satisfaction, so it will greatly affect its selling price. Manual corn quality grouping requires a lot of time and effort. This study aims to develop a method for classifying corn kernel and cob quality based on digital image processing, using RGB color and texture features. The dataset consists of 150 corn kernel images divided into two quality categories, namely "good" and "bad". The research process involves preprocessing stages, color feature extraction using RGB color space, and texture features using the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method. The classification model is built using the Backpropagation artificial neural network algorithm. The test results show that this method is able to achieve classification accuracy of up to 75%. The implementation of this method is expected to increase the efficiency of the corn quality selection process, reduce dependence on manual assessment, and provide significant benefits to the agricultural sector, especially farmers and the corn industry. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of digital-based post-harvest technology in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of the Herringbone technique in improving reading comprehension skills among class XI students. The research followed a quasi-experimental design, with an experimental group receiving instruction using the Herringbone technique and a control group receiving traditional instruction. Pre-test and post-test assessments were conducted to measure the participants' reading comprehension abilities. The results indicated a significant improvement in the reading comprehension scores of the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the Herringbone technique is more effective than traditional methods in enhancing reading comprehension skills. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of incorporating interactive and collaborative instructional approaches in English language teaching to foster critical thinking and deeper understanding of texts. Future research should explore the long-term effects and applicability of the Herringbone technique in diverse educational contexts. Overall, the Herringbone technique shows promise as an effective approach to enhance reading comprehension instruction and support language development among students.
