Abstract

This research is aimed to improve the teaching learning process and learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Characters through the Problem Based Learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the research were the tenth students of the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap STTU Julu academic year of 2024/2025. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis consisting of students’ affective learning outcomes data and students’ cognitive learning outcomes data through observation and written tests. The research was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the percentage of the students’ completeness has increased in each cylce which is 60% to 80%, and the degree of students’ participation in the learning process has increased from 50% to 80%. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model improves the learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Characters of the seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap STTU Julu in the topic of I have Ability and Inability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education for students of class VII-1 at SMP Assisi Kota Batak through the use of the problem-based learning (PBL) model. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) which is carried out collaboratively between researchers and teachers. In the material My abilities and limitations, the problem based learning (PBL) learning model is one of the learning models where students are trained to think critically to find solutions to the problems given. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four components, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, documentation and tests. Data analysis was carried out in 3 stages, namely reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results obtained in this study: cycle 1 was carried out for 2 meetings with the percentage of students whose scores were above the KKM of 42.85%. Cycle 2 was carried out for 2 meetings with the percentage of students whose scores were above the KKM of 92.85%. Based on the research results, it was found that the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VII-1 students at SMP Assisi Kota Batak.

Abstract

The background that encourages this non-class research is the low learning motivation of grade VII students in Catholic Religion at SMP Negeri 2 Amandraya. The research that has been conducted by the author aims to determine the improvement of Catholic religious education outcomes through learning the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in 2024/2025. This researcher uses 2 cycle stages, each of which consists of 2 meetings. The conclusion of the study is that through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, it can improve the learning outcomes of Catholic religious students in grade VII (Seven). The suggestion from the researcher is that through this Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, hopefully it can make a better contribution to learning in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students on the material "I Have the Ability" through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model at SMP Negeri 2 Harian in the 2024/2025 academic year. The PBL method was chosen because of its ability to increase student engagement, critical thinking skills, and problem solving that is relevant to everyday life. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) design involving two cycles of action. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations of the learning process, and evaluation questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in test scores and positive feedback from students regarding the learning process. The application of the PBL model also showed an increase in collaboration skills and student learning motivation. Thus, the use of the Problem-Based Learning model can be considered effective in improving student learning outcomes on the material taught.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berpihak pada murid akan lebih optimal apabila guru mampu memilih dan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal Manggarai untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru serta kualitas pembelajaran di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian melibatkan tokoh adat, guru, kepala sekolah, pengawas, dan pakar pendidikan. Metode pengumpulan data mencakup Focus Group Discussion (FGD), observasi, wawancara, dan validasi ahli, sementara analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan lima sintaks model pembelajaran berbasis budaya Manggarai yakni Toing, Toming, Tatang, Teing, dan Titong yang mampu memberikan struktur sistematis pada proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran berbasis budaya Manggarai yang dikembangkan ini sudah divalidasi oleh para pakar dan dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal Manggarai efektif digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini model ini mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa, relevansi pembelajaran, serta pemahaman guru dalam penerapan metode inovatif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan teori dan praktik pendidikan berbasis budaya, sekaligus menjadi panduan inovatif bagi guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan berkualitas.
