Abstract

Tourism is a branch of the economy which is one of the pillars of the economy in many countries in the world, including in Indonesia. The many tourist attractions in Indonesia, the more lodging services that become a stopover for tourists or travellers. My Home is the right solution for people who need lodging such as apartments, villas and townhouses. This application displays general information such as addresses, pictures, owner contacts and prices for lodging. This research uses the Prototype method which is designed using various diagrams, such as activity diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and use cases to facilitate the design and design. By using the My Home application, customers can easily search for and book lodging without the need to physically visit the place. Thus, My Home becomes a solution that helps users find lodging that matches customer preferences, speeds up the reservation process, and provides comfort and convenience. convenience in the customer journey.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of using a Network Simulation Tool on students' understanding of computer network concepts in Grade XI at SMK Telkom Makassar. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 32 students who were given materials on IP Address, Routing, and Subnetting, followed by a pre-test before practicing with the Network Simulation Tool, and a post-test afterward. The results showed an increase in the students' average scores from 23.87 in the pre-test to 35.22 in the post-test. Data distribution was found to be normal based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, with significance values of 0.139 for the pre-test and 0.114 for the post-test (both > 0.05). The Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students’ understanding before and after the intervention. In detail, there was an increase in understanding in the following domains: Routing Static & Dynamic by 18.44%, IP Address & Subnetting by 25.53%, Routing Static in Cisco Packet Tracer by 48.05%, Subnetting (calculation & configuration) by 29.68%, and Routing & Connection (troubleshooting) by 10.94%.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah memberikan dampak positif pada dunia pendidikan dengan meningkatkan kualitasnya. Salah satu masalah yang sering dihadapi dalam pengelolaan data akademik di perguruan tinggi adalah pertumbuhan data yang pesat. Universitas Taal juga menghadapi tantangan serupa dalam pengolahan data mahasiswa yang belum sepenuhnya terkomputerisasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, membangun, dan mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIA) menggunakan model waterfall di Universitas Taal guna mengoptimalkan pengelolaan informasi akademik. Sistem Informasi Akademik yang dirancang memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam pengambilan keputusan di lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah sistem informasi akademik berbasis web yang dapat dioptimalkan untuk memberikan layanan informasi mata kuliah dan hasil studi bagi mahasiswa di Universitas Taal. Melalui penerapan sistem ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik serta efisiensi dalam manajemen informasi di universitas. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi yang canggih, sistem ini memberikan kemudahan dalam pemrosesan dan pengelolaan data akademik yang penting. Sebagai hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan Universitas Taal dapat memanfaatkan sistem informasi akademik ini untuk meningkatkan efisiensi serta kualitas layanan akademik bagi mahasiswa.
