Abstract

used materials can be used as learning media if they are processed in the right way. This research aims to describe teachers' strategies for optimizing used materials as learning media for early childhood. This research was conducted at the TK Dharma Wanita Kecamatan Tinanggea Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this research comes from primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary data comes from two teachers, while secondary data comes from two students as well as documents related to this research idea. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Data was analyzed using reduction, display and verification. Data were validated through triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that teachers optimize used materials as learning media through several activities, namely collecting, selecting or sorting, and making. After this mechanism, the media that has been created is immediately used as learning media because the media created has been adapted to the learning theme.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the value of children's honest character through role-playing activities in group B PAUD Nusa Indah. This research was conducted on all children in group B PAUD Nusa Indah. This type of research is This research is in accordance with descriptive qualitative methods. The data collected is in the form of words, images, and not numbers. This is caused by the application of qualitative methods. Based on the results of research and discussions conducted by researchers regarding instilling the value of honest character in children through role-playing activities, this activity has proven to be effective in changing children's behavior and thoughts regarding honesty. Instilling the value of honest character in children can have a positive impact on the child himself, and the people around him, including friends, teachers and parents at home. Through this role playing activity, children are taught to act as honest people, what the impact would be if they were not honest in everyday life.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini memegang peran penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan literasi kritis sebagai dasar kemampuan memahami dan menilai informasi, khususnya terkait isu lingkungan. Namun, hasil PISA 2022 menunjukkan bahwa tingkat literasi di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, sehingga penguatan literasi kritis perlu dilakukan sejak dini. Kondisi ini menjadi semakin relevan di wilayah pesisir Konawe Utara yang didominasi aktivitas pertambangan nikel dan menghadapi berbagai tantangan lingkungan serta sosial. Anak-anak di wilayah ini perlu dibekali kemampuan berpikir kritis agar memiliki kesadaran dan tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan. Meskipun terdapat 126 lembaga PAUD di Konawe Utara, kajian mengenai pengembangan literasi kritis berbasis isu lingkungan pesisir masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tingkat penguasaan literasi kritis anak usia dini dalam memahami isu lingkungan, mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dalam kurikulum PAUD, serta menilai efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kesadaran lingkungan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran literasi kritis berbasis konteks lokal pesisir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak usia dini di wilayah pesisir Konawe Utara memiliki kemampuan awal literasi kritis yang baik dalam memahami isu lingkungan, ditandai dengan kemampuan mengenali masalah, mengidentifikasi perilaku yang salah, dan menawarkan solusi sederhana. Integrasi literasi kritis dalam kurikulum PAUD melalui pembelajaran tematik, media kontekstual, pengembangan kosakata, serta pengalaman langsung terbukti dapat meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan anak. Selain itu, metode pembelajaran berbasis literasi kritis efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kepedulian lingkungan, meskipun masih memerlukan penguatan peran guru dan pengembangan aktivitas pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan eksploratif.
