Abstract

Education plays an important role in determining the existence of the nation in the future. Strategies that can realize the aspirations of the country are needed in the process of implementing education. Educational strategies will determine the direction and goals of education. One way is to use the educational curriculum as a standard to measure and adjust the needs of the labor market. Human resources born from the world of education with good curriculum management will provide maximum contribution to the labor market. The Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University monitors and evaluates the educational curriculum periodically. The Faculty of Electronic Engineering continues to strive to provide the best dedication to the nation. This is evidenced by the Electronic Engineering Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University by producing competent human resources in their fields. Each graduate is equipped with licensed competencies recognized by the state. A field survey has been conducted at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University when prospective alumni prepare their files to graduate. This is proof of the dedication of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University for the progress of the nation in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the role of human resource management in an organization. This article uses a literature review method (library research). From the discussion of this article, it can be concluded that human resource management has three functions, namely managerial function, operational function, and function to achieve organizational goals in an integrated manner. While some of the tasks of human resource management are stafl procurement, HR development, managing compensation, managing occupational safety and health, managing work relations and industrial relations. The main purpose of human resource management is to increase the contribution of human resources (employees) to the organization. It can be understood that all organizational activities in achieving their goals depend on the people who manage the organization. Therefore, humans must be managed well so that they can help the organization in achieving the organizational goals that have been determined, in order to achieve the goals of human resource management carried out by HR managers, line managers and outsourcing.

Abstract

Decision making is a cognitive process carried out by humans that causes them to choose a particular action or belief from a variety of available options, either rationally or irrationally. Decision making is essential for leadership, motivation, communication, coordination, and organizational change. Organizations can only operate if their leaders have the ability to make decisions and organize organizational members according to their positions and responsibilities. This study found that the following basic principles should be the basis for decision making in an educational organization: authority, credibility, reference, ethics, orientation, and scope. Based on these principles, various paradigms—classical, administrative, incremental, administrative-incremental, and contingency—are used to make decisions.
