Abstract

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is crucial for safeguarding workers' well-being and preventing workplace accidents and diseases. This study explores OHS hazards at UD Lestari, an informal sector rice milling operation in Semarang City, Indonesia. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, conducting interviews, observation, and measurements from April to May 2024. The aim of this study was to identify various OHS hazards present in UD. Lestari's rice milling operations. This research found that all respondents experienced respiratory problems (100%) and 3 people (50%) experienced hearing problems, attributed to inadequate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and smoking habits. Dust levels inside the production area exceeded permissible limits (8.04 mg/m3), posing risks of respiratory diseases. Similarly, noise levels surpassed recommended thresholds (93.26 dB), increasing the likelihood of hearing loss. This study contributes valuable insights into enhancing workplace safety and underscores the importance of ongoing efforts to safeguard worker health in informal sector industries. Future research should explore additional factors influencing OHS outcomes to further enhance workplace safety practices and employee well-being.

Abstract

Management of hospital services needs to be done properly. This is to improve the quality of service and minimize complaints from patients. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of BPJS inpatients, identify service barriers, and provide service solutions at Puri Asih Hospital Salatiga. The method used by researchers using descriptive methods, through a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, using a checklist interview guide with accidental sampling technique. The study was conducted from July to August 202. The samples used were 5 BPJS Health participant patients who received inpatient services, 2 authorized BPJS Health officers, and 5 inpatient service doctors through inclusion criteria. Some indicators of the service quality of inpatient BPJS participants for non-PBI health at RSU Puri Asih Salatiga in the poor category are the ease of achievement and adjustment of services, reliability and trust in BPJS service administration staff. Problems mostly lie in long service waiting periods, inadequate waiting room facilities such as small seats, and slow service speeds

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara industri dengan jumlah tenaga kerja di sektor informal lebih banyak daripada tenaga kerja di sektor formal. Pekerja di sektor informal rentan mengalami kecelakaan kerja maupun penyakit akibat kerja. Hal ini diperparah dengan tidak adanya akses jaminan sosial bagi mereka. Sehingga diperlukan pelaksanaan Pos Upaya Kesehatan Kerja (Pos UKK) secara maksimal bagi pekerja di sektor informal. Pos UKK adalah wadah sebagai upaya kesehatan berbasis masyarakat pada pekerja sektor informal yang dikelola dan diselenggarakan dari, oleh, untuk dan bersama masyarakat pekerja melalui pemberian pelayanan kesehatan dengan pendekatan utama promotif dan preventif, disertai kuratif dan rehabilitatif sederhana atau terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pos UKK dalam mencegah kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit akibat kerja bagi pekerja di sektor informal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan artikel dengan menganalisis hasil penelitian terdahulu. Dalam pengumpulan artikel menggunakan metode Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah hingga saat ini belum banyak pemilik usaha sektor informal yang memiliki pos UKK. Hanya beberapa sektor informal yang sudah memiliki pos UKK, namun dalam pelaksanaan pos UKK yang ada di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia masih belum berjalan secara maksimal. Perlu adanya kerjasama antara pemerintah, puskesmas, dan pemilik usaha sektor informal dalam pembentukan dan pelaksanaan pos UKK yang baik dan terintegrasi. Sehingga resiko penyakit akibat kerja dan kecelakaan kerja pada pekerja di sektor informal dapat dicegah serta produktivitas kerja meningkat.
