Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to provide education about waste management to increase environmental awareness for grade 5 students at MI Islamiyah Balong. This research was conducted using the PAR method. The research sample consisted of 34 grade 5 students selected randomly. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that sound waste management education can increase students' environmental awareness. There was a significant improvement in student behaviour after receiving education about waste management: (1) increased students knowledge about the importance of managing waste, (2) students can create a minimalist waste bank independently at school, and (3) students can preserve and utilize the land around the school as a family medicinal plant garden (Taman Toga) Keywords: Environmental Concern, Education, Waste Management Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi tentang pengelolaan sampah untuk meningkatkan kepedulian lingkungan terhadap siswa kelas 5 MI Islamiyah Balong. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode PAR. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas 5 yang dipilih secara acak. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa edukasi pengelolaan sampah yang baik dapat meningkatkan kepedulian lingkungan siswa. Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam perilaku siswa setelah mendapat edukasi tentang pengelolaan sampah; (1) bertambahnya pengetahuan siswa tentang pentingnya mengelola sampah, (2) siswa dapat membuat bank sampah minimalis secara mandiri di sekolah, serta (3) siswa dapat melestarikan dan memanfaatkan lahan di sekitar sekolah sebagai taman tanaman obat keluarga (Taman Toga) Keywords: Kepedulian Lingkungan, Edukasi, Pengelolaan Sampah

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain the concept of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari, explain KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts on student character in education and explain the relevance of KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts on character education to the implementation of the 2023 Merdeka Belajar curriculum. The approach used in this research is a historical approach. With this approach, the author can use it to study the biography and works of KH Hasyim Asy'ari. The type of research that the author uses is library research, namely research carried out to solve problems which basically relies on a critical and in-depth review of relevant library materials. The limitations of the problem that will be discussed are only regarding the relevance of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari and character education in the independent learning curriculum. The results of this research are that the concept of character education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts includes Sincerity, Practicing Qona'ah, Tawdhu', Zuhud, Behaving Waro', Behaving Patience, Avoiding Immorality and Dirty Things. The character education of students according to the thoughts of KH Hasyim Asy'ari in the book adabulalim walmuta'alim is as follows: Student Character towards Themselves, Student Character towards their Teachers, Student Character towards the lesson, Student Character towards the book (book) and learning tools. The relevance of the adabulalim walmuta'alim book to the implementation of education in 2023 includes: Faith, Devotion to God Almighty, Noble Character, Independence, Mutual Cooperation, Critical Reasoning, Creative.
