Abstract

This research aims to find out the perspective of teachers and students of Fania Salsabila Vocational School, Jambi City regarding the urgency of learning employment law to develop entrepreneurship alumni. To find out the importance of your rights and obligations as a worker, then regarding existing employment laws. This research was conducted at Fania Salsabila Vocational School, Jambi City. Research data was obtained by observing, interviewing and documenting teachers, students and the head of the Jambi Province official vocational school assessment curriculum section. The informants used as subjects included: 2 teachers, 3 students and 1 Jambi provincial office. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research type narrative research. The research results can be concluded that the perspective of vocational school teachers and students regarding the urgency of learning labor law is that teachers and students do not know enough, understand labor law but know it is important and agree that learning labor law is important. From the results of this research, it is recommended that teachers and students work together to realize labor law learning in the curriculum and vocational high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the effectiveness of learning outcomes of students in class VII D SMPN 51 Palembang in the subject of Pancasila Education, especially the material of Unity in Diversity, through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model by utilizing ICT media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and evaluation of learning outcomes using Google Form. The results showed that the application of ICT-based PBL was able to increase the active participation of students, improve the learning process, and improve learning outcomes significantly. Learning media such as interactive presentations through Canva and online evaluation based on Google Form make learning more interesting and accessible to students. Based on the evaluation results in cycle II, there was an increase in the class average score which showed the achievement of the success indicator. Thus, the ICT-based PBL model is effectively applied in learning Pancasila Education to encourage active learning, critical thinking, and deeper understanding.

Abstract

Peningkatan limbah rumah tangga seperti minyak jelantah dan sampah plastik menjadi ancaman serius bagi kelestarian lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Di Lorong Mubarok 18 Ilir, banyak warga, khususnya ibu-ibu PKK, menghasilkan limbah dari aktivitas kuliner yang dibuang langsung ke lingkungan tanpa pengolahan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan ibu-ibu PKK melalui pelatihan pengolahan minyak jelantah menjadi sabun cuci piring dan lilin aromaterapi, serta pemanfaatan sampah plastik sebagai wadah produk. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, dan pendampingan langsung selama bulan April 2025. Proses dimulai dengan penjernihan minyak menggunakan arang aktif, dilanjutkan pembuatan sabun dan lilin serta pemanfaatan limbah plastik. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK dalam mengelola limbah, terbukti dari partisipasi aktif dan ketertarikan dalam mengembangkan produk. Diskusi menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kontekstual berbasis pemberdayaan komunitas efektif menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan dan potensi ekonomi kreatif. Kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa pengelolaan limbah berbasis rumah tangga dapat memberikan dampak positif, baik bagi lingkungan maupun kesejahteraan keluarga. Disarankan agar kegiatan ini terus dikembangkan dan dijadikan model pemberdayaan berbasis lingkungan di wilayah lain.
