Ninety-five (95) 2nd year and 3rd-year students served as respondents through total population sampling. The results revealed that students are moderately proficient in shorthand writing and ineffective in time management, while rather proficient in shorthand reading and lack of reading materials was the factor. Lastly, proficiency in English grammar and communicating/interacting in a class discussion was the factor. Based on the results, an action plan was formulated as a recommendation, which includes providing innovative devices such as iPads or tablets to facilitate online stenography instruction and study.

Abstract

This study explores the vision and mission statements of microbusinesses in Daet, Camarines Norte, focusing on their prevalence, clarity, alignment, impact, obstacles, and challenges. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, data was collected through a survey questionnaire. Statistical techniques such as weighted mean, frequency, and percentage were utilized, with thirty respondents selected from ten microbusiness industries through descriptive and quota samplings. Findings reveal a prevalent lack of clear vision and mission statements among microbusiness owners, attributed to uncertainty and a perceived low priority. Insufficient skills and resources further hinder the crafting of compelling statements, impacting the success of these enterprises. The study underscores the importance of workshops, training sessions, and seminars to equip microbusiness owners with the necessary tools for developing purposeful vision and mission statements, vital for guiding their business towards success.

Abstract

This study investigates the impediments of office administration graduates seeking employment within legal offices, employing the descriptive survey method and utilizing statistical tools such as the weighted mean and ranking method. Data were collected from 50 graduates of  Camarines Norte State College, as well as employers and stenographers from legal offices. The findings highlight a significant obstacle faced by office administration graduates: a lack of relevant internships and experience within legal settings, impeding their employment prospects within the legal sector. These results underscore the necessity for closer collaboration between academic institutions and legal offices to facilitate tailored internships and experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, integrating practical training modules into the curriculum is crucial to better prepare graduates for the demands of the legal profession. The implications of these findings extend to policymakers and educational stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures to bridge the gap between academic training and industry requirements and enhance the employability of office administration graduates within legal offices.
