Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KUKERTA) is an academic activity carried out by students in the form of community service. Through this service, students gain experience interacting and socializing with the community while contributing to solving problems within the society. As part of their service, KUKERTA students from the University of Riau organized a national seminar to develop the character and potential of children in the villages of Lambang Sari I, II, and III. The seminar aims to provide understanding and strategies to teachers, parents, and other educators on how to develop the potential and creative character of children in these villages. By involving discussions with experts in the field of education, the seminar emphasizes the crucial role of teachers in enhancing creativity and guiding children to become strong, character-driven individuals. The outcomes of this activity show that an educational approach integrating religious values, creativity, and local culture is highly effective in shaping creative and morally upright character in children. Additionally, the seminar highlights the importance of collaboration between schools and parents in optimally facilitating the development of children's potential.

Abstract

Penerapan Variable Speed Drive (VSD) pada motor induksi tiga fasa sudah umum dalam industri karena kemampuannya dalam mengendalikan kecepatan motor secara fleksibel dan efisien. Namun, pemanfaatan VSD juga dapat memicu masalah kualitas daya berupa distorsi harmonik, yang mampu menurunkan efisiensi sistem dan mempercepat kerusakan peralatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi efektivitas filter pasif single tuned dalam mereduksi harmonisa yang diakibatkan oleh VSD pada sistem tenaga listrik. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak ETAP pada sistem dengan beban 3.500 kW, terdiri dari 5 motor yang beroperasi menggunakan VSD dan satu lump load 650 kW. Tiga buah filter pasif disetting pada harmonisa orde ke-5, ke-7, dan ke-11. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan penurunan Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) dari 14,92% menjadi 1,84% dan peningkatan faktor daya dari 86,59% menjadi 98,83%. Penurunan arus dan peningkatan profil tegangan juga menunjukkan bahwa filter ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas daya. Dengan demikian, penerapan filter pasif single tuned dapat menjadi solusi praktis untuk mengurangi harmonisa yang terjadi pada sistem tenaga listrik yang memiliki berbeban non-linear
