Abstract

Background: Students as someone who are considered educated must be able to give their views on the situation that occurs. Student perceptions are needed to find out the direction of student thinking regarding a problem face by this country, namely the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to find out in detail how the perceptions of students in dealing with Covid-19. Method: The method used in this research is descriptive method, where the number of samples is 150 sixth semester students of STIKes Muhammadiyah Lhokseumawe. Results: The research showed that the perceptions of student in the semester VI of the undergraduate nursing study program at STIKes Muhammadiyah Lhokseumawe were good (100%) with an average percentage score of 70.63%. Recommandation: This research is expected to be an evaluation of various parties in dealing with Covid-19. This research is also expected to be a reference for other researchers in analyzing and developing students' perceptions in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Background: Covid-19 Respons Village Volunteers were formed based on a circular letter from the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions as stated in SE Number 8 of 2020 concerning Covid-19 Respons Villages and Affirmations of Village Cash Work with the tasks of conducting outreach and prevention of Covid-19 by providing communication, information and education to the public about Covid-19. This study aims to determine the role of village volunteers responding to Covid-19 in the level of trust of the village community about Covid-19 in Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative and data presentation is done descriptively. The research sample is 397 respondents. Results: The results showed that the characteristics of the respondent's were based on the age of the majority 26-35 years (38.3%), the sex of the majority was male (61%), the education of the majority was high school (53.7%) and the occupations of the majority were housewives (22.9%). The majority of the communication role of the Covid -19 response village volunteers was good (66.8%), the majority of information role was not good (52.9%) and the majority of education roles was not good (71.5%). The village community's level of trust about Covid -19 is mostly in the doubtful category (45.6%) and the lowest is in the very trust category (1%). Recommendation: Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to Covid-19 Response village volunteers to increase the role of communication, information and education to the public about Covid-19, and to the public to be able to find reliable reference sources about Covid-19, and to increase confidence in Covid-19.

Abstract

The current Covid-19 pandemic is a threat to health and well-being. Washing hands with soap is an effort to prevent Covid-19 as the body's protection from various infectious diseases. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of education on the behavior of washing hands with soap on disease prevention during the Covid-19 pandemic in preschool-aged children at Al-Muntahar Kindergarten, Lhokseumawe.The design of this research is Quassy experiment, with the design of One Group Pretest and Posttest. The population in the study amounted to 40 students. The number of samples is 40 respondents using total sampling technique. This research was carried out on 03 to 07 August 2021. The analysis was carried out by a computerized process through the paired t test.Based on the results of the study, it was found that the prevention of disease during the Covid-19 pandemic in preschool-aged children before being given education on handwashing with soap was in the category not done (65.0%) and disease prevention during the Covid-19 pandemic in preschool-aged children after being given education. the behavior of washing hands with soap is in the category done (75.0%). The results of the p-value = 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of education on the behavior of washing hands with soap on disease prevention during the Covid-19 pandemic in preschool age children.It is hoped that there will be more health education programs, especially about washing hands with soap by delivering counseling that is easily understood by children. Abstrak Pandemi Covid-19 yang saat ini merupakan ancaman terhadap kesehatan dan kesejahteraan. Mencuci tangan dengan sabun merupakan upaya pencegahan Covid-19 sebagai perlindungan tubuh berbagai penyakit yang sifatnya menular. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun terhadap pencegahan penyakit di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada anak usia prasekolah. Desain penelitian ini bersifat Quassy Experiment, dengan perancangan One Group Pretest dan Posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 responden dengan menggunakan teknik totalsampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 03 s/d 07 Agustus 2021. Analisa dilakukan dengan proses komputerisasi melalui uji t-paired. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pencegahan penyakit di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada anak usia prasekolah sebelum diberikan edukasi perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun berada pada kategori tidak dilakukan (65.0%) dan pencegahan penyakit di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada anak usia prasekolah sesudah diberikan edukasi perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun berada pada kategori dilakukan (75.0%). Hasil nilai p-value= 0.000 <0.05, dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh edukasi perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun terhadap pencegahan penyakit di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada anak usia prasekolah. Diharapkan agar lebih memperbanyak program-program edukasi kesehatan terutama tentang cuci tangan pakai sabun dengan cara penyampaian penyuluhan yang mudah dimengerti oleh anak-anak.
