Abstract

Sibolangit Village is one of the tourist villages in North Sumatra, this village is located in the Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Limitations in education in terms of accessing the latest learning information create quite a difficult challenge for several schools in Sibolangit Village. The health of the elderly is also of particular concern there. The method for implementing Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities for students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra to the community consists of work programs JBT (Additional Study Hours), JBM (Evening Study Hours), JBP (Companion Study Hours), Koran Learning, elderly health and stunting counseling . All programs carried out have gone well which can be seen from the enthusiasm of students in participating in all the programs that have been made. in participating in all the programs that have been made and the same is the case with the elderly who regularly take part in gymnastic activities and mothers and children who take part in posyandu and counseling.

Abstract

The number of reviews about skincare products can be used as an evaluation of product quality and satisfaction from consumers who have used it as well as considerations for other consumers to try the product. With the number of reviews, it is important to classify reviews into positive, negative, and neutral classes so that the level of product quality from each classification class can be known. The number of reviews causes the review classification process to be unable to be carried out automatically, so sentiment analysis is carried out. To determine the classification of positive sentiment, negative sentiment, and neutral sentiment on the skincare product, the Naive Bayes algorithm method is used. Naive Bayes was chosen because it is easy to implement and has a probability value to classify data. To determine the percentage of results from the specified classification, the Confusion Matrix will be used. The results of the classification process using the Naive Bayes method produce data into 3 types, namely 65 positive classes, 87 neutral classes, and 24 negative classes with an accuracy value of 73%, precision 77%, recall 61%, and f1-score 63%.

Abstract

The use of a modern library management system is an important aspect in improving the quality of library services. The Imelda University Library in Medan has been using SLiMS 7 as its collection management and book borrowing transaction information system. This study aims to analyze borrowing data from SLiMS 7 and identify book borrowing patterns using the K-Means Clustering algorithm. The research data includes book categories, borrowing frequency, borrower study programs, and borrowing periods extracted directly from the SLiMS 7 database. The research stages include data pre-processing, normalization, determining the optimal number of clusters using the Elbow method, and the clustering process using the K-Means algorithm. The results of the study show the formation of several clusters that describe different borrowing patterns, such as clusters of collections with high, medium, and low borrowing rates. These findings can assist libraries in making decisions related to collection development, service organization, and book acquisition strategy planning. Thus, the integration of SLiMS 7 data with the K-Means algorithm has proven effective in generating information that supports the improvement of data-based library services.
