Abstract

Based on Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI), one of the indicators used to monitor the physical growth and development of healthy children is through body weight. It is recommended that in infancy, parents routinely monitor the baby's weight and height. In Indonesia, there is a posyandu program that facilitates regular checking of baby's weight. Currently the monitoring system for baby weight and height at Posyandu Anyelir 1 Surabaya is still done manually, namely weighing babies on traditional scales and manual height, then manually recording them on the Towards Healthy Card (KMS) both in the cadre records and parents of toddlers. This makes monitoring less well recorded, especially if the KMS is lost. So that the PENS Community Service program makes Smart Posyandu Products: Applications and Toddler Nutrition Monitoring Systems Through Baby Weight and Height for Posyandu Services Based on the Internet of Things. By applying the case study method to implementing Smart Posyandu Products at posyandu, Smart Posyandu Products can be accepted by the Posyandu. So that the results of community service activities can help the duties of posyandu cadres and parents of toddlers in monitoring toddler nutrition effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the influence of the singing method on English vocabulary mastery in elementary school students. The research method employs an experimental approach with control and treatment groups. Students in the treatment group engage in vocabulary learning sessions through singing, while the control group follows a conventional approach. Data is collected through vocabulary tests before and after the intervention. The data analysis results show a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery in the treatment group compared to the control group. Singing method proves effective in enhancing students' learning motivation, strengthening vocabulary retention, and stimulating active engagement in English learning. These findings have positive implications for the development of teaching strategies focusing on creative and interactive elements, particularly in the context of language learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade XI F4 students in Sociology at Adabiah 2 High School, Padang. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes using the Teaching at the Right Level (TARL) learning approach. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) formulated by Ari Kunto, which consists of four components: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection, using a mixed methods approach. The research data consisted of information about the results of the actions obtained from observations of teacher activities and student learning outcome tests. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle of research showed that the average student learning outcome score remained around 70.6, with only 39.5% completing tasks and 59.9% not completing tasks. In the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased to an average of 84.8, with 83.5% completing tasks and a decrease of 16.6% not completing tasks. This indicates an improvement in learning outcomes, as seen in the second cycle, with an increase in average student scores. This demonstrates that learning outcomes improve with the use of the TaRL approach in sociology.
