Abstract

Religious moderation is an important key in minimizing radical acts and extremism in religion in Indonesia. The Ministry of Religion is an important element in being responsible for religious harmony in Indonesia. The program to strengthen religious moderation was also intensified in 2019 by the Ministry of Religion. The author uses a qualitative research approach for this research method. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, it is "The Role of the Ministry of Religion in Religious Moderation in the City of Medan". The Mayor of Medan advised that we must maintain harmony and establish harmony between religious communities so that Medan City can become a harmonious city for all believers. "How to Promote Religious Moderation" Use social media to spread the message of religious moderation, educate the public, and create a positive platform for communication "The Ministry of Religion's goal is to promote religious moderation in the Digital Era" to be able to develop an online educational platform to deliver religious moderation material, utilizing technology digital as an easily accessible learning tool. Through campaigns on social media, the ministry can spread messages of religious moderation, promote interfaith dialogue, and share inspiring stories that show harmony in life amidst differences in beliefs.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the enhancement of digital literacy in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Al-Ulum Integrated Islamic High School in Medan. (a) Digital literacy has become an essential skill in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, where the ability to use, access, and evaluate information from digital sources is crucial for students' success. In the context of PAI, digital literacy not only aids students in better understanding religious values but also protects them from inaccurate information. The Merdeka Curriculum, recently introduced in Indonesia, encourages the integration of technology in education, providing flexibility for teachers and students to utilize digital tools to improve the quality of learning. (b) This study employs a qualitative research approach, involving interviews and observations conducted at Al-Ulum Integrated Islamic High School in Medan from September 30 to October 30, 2024. (c) The research findings indicate that the enhancement of digital literacy at the school positively impacts the PAI learning process. Digital technology facilitates access to more varied learning resources, resulting in a more interactive discussion and evaluation of religious materials. Achievements include the use of digital platforms such as Google Classroom, Al-Quran IPTEK, and digital libraries, which support students in accessing and critically understanding information. However, challenges persist, such as the need for teacher training and limited technological infrastructure at the school. (d) The study concludes that digital literacy has significant potential to enhance the effectiveness of PAI learning and support the development of students' character in alignment with Islamic values. Implementing suitable strategies, such as teacher training and technology-based program development, can help schools increase learning effectiveness and prepare students to face challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini menghadapi tantangan yang cukup besar dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan untuk menghadapi persaingan global. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah pelaksanaan sertifikasi guru yang menjadi fokus utama artikel ini. Artikel ilmiah ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengetahui proses dan dampak sertifikasi guru pada Kementerian Agama Kota Medan khususnya pada bidang Pendidikan. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumen resmi terkait. Temuan artikel ilmiah ini menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi guru tidak hanya berfungsi untuk menilai kelayakan formal, namun juga sebagai instrumen untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kualitas pengajaran. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai pelaksanaan sertifikasi guru dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan di tingkat daerah. Dengan mendokumentasikan proses sertifikasi, artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan berharga bagi para pengambil kebijakan dan praktisi pendidikan di lapangan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan di Indonesia dan memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pengembangan sistem pendidikan nasional di masa depan.

Abstract

Background: Basic Life Support (BHD) is an important first step in managing sudden cardiac arrest before medical personnel arrive. However, the level of public knowledge, especially school students, about BHD is still low. Education through video media is expected to be an effective method in improving students' understanding of this lifesaving action. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of video education on the level of knowledge of class X students at MA YPI Mekarjaya. Research Methods: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Where the level of knowledge of class X students was measured before and after being given education. The study sample consisted of 40 students selected using total sampling technique, 10 respondents for preliminary study and 30 respondents for research. Data were collected through questionnaires before and after the video education intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test.  Results: The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge level after being given video education (p<0.05). This proves that the use of video media in health education can improve students' understanding of BHD. Conclusion: Video education is an effective method in improving students' knowledge about Basic Life Support. Therefore, this approach can be used as a health education strategy
