Abstract

CV XYZ is a company engaged in the field of Bottled Drinking Water. The production process at this company still uses the traditional MMH (Manual Material Handling) method which causes various complaints from employees, so it is necessary to think of an alternative method or tool that can change this manual process. Based on this, this research was conducted to design a tool that can optimize the material handling process and reduce musculoskeletal risks that arise in employees. There are 3 methods used, namely anthropometry, the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire, and work posture analysis using the REBA method. After testing, it was found that the trolley table that was in accordance with the employee's anthropometry was able to reduce employee complaints by 25% on several parts of the worker's body. From the results of the REBA assessment, a score of 6 (moderate) is obtained if using a table trolley, while without a trolley it produces a score of 12 (has a very high risk). The results of this research are considered to have a significant impact both in optimizing the production system, as well as in terms of employee safety and health from an employee health and safety perspective.

Abstract

The success of an industry is a positive impact of integrating production factors andmanagement systems to be more effective and efficient. One of the determinants of anindustry's success is the layout, better known as the layout of the industry. Knowledge of theseincludes work centres and equipment in the conversion process to optimize the relationshipbetween implementing officers, material flow, information flow, and procedures for achievinggoals. ABC company is one of the companies engaged in the processing of oil palm fruit toproduce various kinds of products that are useful for human food, beverages, agriculture,industry, and so on. This study evaluates the layout of PT. ABC's production facilities,utilizing an activity relationship chart and activity relationship diagram approach. Researchersanalyzed the data and obtained two factory facility layout designs, the 1st and 2ndalternatives, ultimately selecting the latter. The chosen layout design is more organized andsupports the smooth running of production activities, providing significant advantages for thecompany.

Abstract

Toko A is a company that buys supplies in large quantities from suppliers and resells them to consumers in smaller amounts therefore inventory management is very important. Toko A ways of managing inventory in the warehouse are still based on intuition. The warehouse gets overloaded sometimes due to stocks that are way too many to be kept causing items to be damaged such as for shirts and shoes making it lose its value. The purpose of this research is to find the best method of inventory planning and control based on the smallest Total Inventory Cost between the method that is being applied by the company currently with Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Period Order Quantity. The result shows that the best method for managing inventory is EOQ which saves IDR25.068.334 for the shirt category and IDR21.909.229 for the shoes category in 2021. The best method to manage inventory from January until March of 2022 is also EOQ which saves IDR1.077.434 for the shirt category and IDR254.632 for the shoes category.
