Abstract

Community service activities through the co-curricular program of KKN or Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Community Service), is an activity of community mentoring by students in an effort to develop the social, religious, and socio-cultural potential of the local community. At the same time, it is one form of student contribution in addressing the problems that exist in the community. This study aims to examine the role of KKN in providing education to children and increasing environmental awareness in Kembang Seri Village, Central Bengkulu Regency. The method used in this research is observation. KKN students participated in learning activities for children, environmental cleanup, legal counseling, and providing education to children about the importance of religious and social knowledge. The results of the study show that through KKN, educational and environmental awareness in Kembang Seri Village has increased significantly. The community has begun to understand the importance of maintaining religious and social teachings or knowledge, as well as cleanliness and caring for their surroundings. Children also showed an increase in religious and social knowledge through educational activities conducted by KKN students.

Abstract

This research was a descriptive research which used to analyzed students’ ability and difficulties at second semester of accounting major at STIE-SAK academic year 2024/2025. The population of this research was students all the students at second semester of accounting major. The instrument used in this research was writing test. The research findings showed that the students’ ability were low in understanding report text because from the students’ score, there was 1 student got 80, 1 students got 70, 1 student got 60, and most of the students or there were 10 students got under 60. Then, after counting the students’ percentage score, it showed that only a students got A, 1 student got B, C, and D. There were 9 students got E. It could be concluded that the students at second semester of accounting major at STIE-SAK academic year 2024/2025 failed in writing report text. Moreover, in writing report text, the students faced some difficulties. The difficulties were: the understanding of paragraph, the understanding of generic structure, and the understanding of language features.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research, the purpose of this research was to find out the problems in the teaching and learning process and solve the problems. This research was conducted at first semester students of accounting major of STIE-SAK academic year 2025/2026. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisted three meetings. Based on the findings, it was found the improvements during the teaching and learning process. The result of the test in cycle one was 49.99% and increased to 88.88% in cycle two. The test was conducted based on the conversation text, the students were asked to make inferencing. The improvements were not only from the reading test but from the observation, fieldnotes. It also showed that the students’ attitude was also improved better. There were some factors improved the changes of students’ reading comprehension skill namely material, media, classroom activities and teaching way. Based on the result of the research, it could be concluded that through making inferencing had improved the students’ reading comprehension skill at first semester students of accounting major of STIE-SAK academic year 2025/2026.
