Abstract

The selection of candidates for school committee chairman is an important process in maintaining the smooth management of the school. The role of the committee chairman is vital in coordinating committee activities, communicating with school stakeholders, and making strategic decisions. Key problems in selecting school committee chairmen can include objectivity in the selection process, lack of transparency in selection criteria, lack of participation from all relevant parties, and the potential for subjective preferences or biases in selecting candidates for school committee chair. The research objective of using the decision support system with the WASPAS method in the selection of candidates for school committee chairman is to provide a structured and measurable framework in selecting the most suitable candidate for school committee chair, as well as to integrate various criteria relevant to the role and responsibilities of school committee chairs and provide more objective and measurable decisions based on careful data analysis. The WASPAS method will help in solving complex problems in the selection of candidates for school committee chairman by integrating various relevant criteria and providing objective values based on the weights set by users. The use of the WASPAS method can provide strong support in the decision-making process that has an impact on selecting candidates for school committee chairman who are optimal and in accordance with the needs and goals of the school.

Abstract

The selection of shoe product suppliers is an important process in the shoe industry, which requires careful consideration to ensure price, quality, availability, and delivery. In addition, the ability of suppliers to adapt to changing market demands and the ability to collaborate in the development of new products are also important factors. The problems that arise are uncertainty in assessing supplier quality and performance, difficulty in comparing supplier alternatives objectively, and difficulty in calculating various relevant criteria thoroughly. This study aims to apply a combination of ROC and MOORA weighting methods in determining the selection of shoe product suppliers so that it becomes a recommendation for companies in choosing the right supplier for the sustainability of the business run by the company. The combination of ROC and MOORA can provide deeper and more thorough insight into the alternatives evaluated. Using this approach, decision makers can address some of the weaknesses of each method simultaneously, resulting in more optimal and measurable decisions. The use of a combination of ROC and MOORA can help organizations in achieving their goals in a more efficient and effective manner. The recommendation for the selection of shoe product suppliers shows the ranking results of each supplier based on the final value of the MOORA and ROC calculations, the ranking results show rank 1 with a value of 0.093 obtained by Supplier F, rank 2 with a value of 0.0827 obtained by Supplier A and Supplier E, and rank 3 with a value of 0.0458 obtained by Supplier H.

Abstract

In the media industry, reporters play an important role in conveying accurate, fast, and credible information to the public. One of the main problems is subjectivity in evaluation, where personal preferences or the evaluator's bias can affect the final result. In addition, the scoring criteria used are sometimes not uniform or clear, resulting in a difference in perception of what actually constitutes the best reporter's measure. The purpose of applying the PIPRECIA and MAUT methods in selecting the best reporter is to provide an objective and measurable assessment of the reporter's performance based on several relevant criteria. The results of Ferdi's ranking won 1st place with a final score of 0.4358, indicating that he has the best performance in the assessment based on the set criteria, namely the quality of coverage, communication skills, speed of news delivery, and excellent integrity. The results of this ranking provide a clear insight into the performance of each reporter based on the PIPRECIA and MAUT methods. These results can be used as a reference for further decision-making regarding recognition or awards to reporters.

Abstract

Diagnosing eye diseases is crucial for early identification of eye health problems, allowing for appropriate and effective treatment before the condition develops into a more serious one. Diagnose eye diseases to holistically understand the patient's eye condition, provide more specific treatment, and improve the patient's quality of life and well-being in the long term. This study aims to diagnose eye diseases using the certainty factor method so that the accuracy and efficiency of the eye disease diagnosis process. By utilizing certainty factors, this system aims to combine expert knowledge with symptom data inputted by users to provide a more precise and reliable diagnosis. Based on the results of the diagnosis of eye disease with rule 1 or Episcleritis disease with the final value of the certainty factor method of 22.63%, for rule 2 or Hordeolum disease with the final value of the certainty factor method of 23.45%, for rule 3 or Cataract disease with the final value of the certainty factor method of 26.79%, for rule 4 or Pterygium disease with the final value of the certainty factor method of 48.89%. Based on the final value of 4 disease rules, it was concluded that patient A was diagnosed with eye disease using the certainty factor method, namely Pterygium disease with a confidence level of 48.89%.

Abstract

Outstanding taxpayers based on the Bandar Lampung Mayor Decree in 2013 refer to individuals or business entities that demonstrate superior financial performance and high tax compliance. The problem experienced by the Bandar Lampung Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD) is that the determination of outstanding taxpayers is calculated based on predetermined criteria. This study aims to apply the ROC method to determine the weight of criteria for determining outstanding taxpayers, and the MAUT method is used in alternative ranking of outstanding taxpayers so that the ranking results help and recommend to the Bandar Lampung BPPRD Office in determining outstanding taxpayers using criteria set by the Bandar Lampung BPPRD Office. The ranking results of outstanding taxpayers using the MAUT and ROC methods provide recommendations to the BPPRD Dina, namely rank 1 obtained with a value of 1.005 with the name of the taxpayer Bakso Sony Pagar Alam, rank 2 obtained with a value of 0.772 with the name of the taxpayer RM. Hang Dihi, and rank 3 obtained with a value of 0.776 with the name of the taxpayer Minang Indah.

Abstract

An effective and efficient employee recruitment process is crucial for companies to ensure that selected candidates align with organizational needs and culture. However, the complexity of evaluation criteria often leads to subjectivity in decision-making. This study aims to develop a decision support system (DSS) for employee recruitment by integrating the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) method and G2M Weighting. The GRA method is utilized to evaluate the relative relationships among criteria under conditions of incomplete data, while G2M Weighting provides objective weighting of criteria using a combination of gray system analysis and geometric mean. This combination of methods is designed to yield a more accurate, objective, and comprehensive ranking of candidates. The research stages include data collection for employee selection, determination of criteria weights using G2M Weighting, and candidate ranking analysis with GRA. The results of the employee recruitment selection ranking research show that for rank 1 with a final GRA value of 0.918 obtained by employee Pipit, rank 2 with a final GRA value of 0.903 obtained by employee Iswara, rank 3 with a final GRA value of 0.805 obtained by employee Riska, rank 4 with a final GRA value of 0.733 obtained by employee Andri, rank 5 with a final GRA value of 0.697 obtained by employee Ikhsan, rank 6 with a final GRA value of 0.595 obtained by employee Ani, and rank 7 with a final GRA value of 0.553 obtained by employee Estu. Which shows this approach is able to increase objectivity and efficiency in the selection process. By considering various dimensions of assessment in a balanced manner, developed system provides recommendations for the best candidates based on highest scores. The implementation this method can help companies in reducing subjective bias, improving decision quality, and minimizing the risk of recruitment errors. This research makes a significant contribution in the field of decision support systems, especially for the employee selection process, by offering innovative solutions that are adaptive to changing needs of the company.
