Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out, understand, and analyze and interpret the reason the placenta was planted in Setra (cemetery). This research was conducted in Kedisan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. Data is collected from observations, interviews and documents relevant to research. Data analysis techniques are descriptive, qualitative and interpretive. An in-depth analysis of placenta planting in Setra for the Kedisan villagers, and found several reasons (1) Sociological reasons, the act of planting the placenta in Setra in Kedisan Village for; (a) Fostering Togetherness, is a manifestation of a sense of devotion to the ancestors and respect for the rules that exist in the Village of Kedisan. This is realized through close cooperation between villagers and can increase a sense of togetherness and respect for tradition; (b) Respect to Ancestors, Kedisan villagers feel the need to purify and preserve the placenta planting in Setra Bebajangan as a religious activity that has spiritual power (taksu). With the trust and confidence of Kedisan villagers, they did not dare to oppose and violate what their ancestors had done in planting the placenta or placenta in Setra Bebajangan. (2) Religious reasons, namely; (a) realizing the Nature of Life as a Human, humans as one of God's creations have the most important and most noble position because humans have the ability to increase their dignity and status, so as to distinguish between good behavior and bad behavior; (b) The existence of Pura Dalem Bebajangan, located to the west of the village surrounded by Kedisan State Elementary School and Pura Dalem Kahuripan coincide at the intersection of Kedisan Village which serves to worship Lord Shiva, with His personification as Sang Hyang Panca Korsika, Sanghyang Catur Sanak, and Sanghyang Kumara.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover, understand, and deeply describethe moral spiritual leadership of Santi Parwa, as a reference and guide for Hindus in understanding discourse and ideology as a leader based on moral spirituals. The idealism ofpemi kIran research aims to establish and communicate that literary works can be a social, political and cultural force, with a message can give pencerahan positive presiation enlightenment for Hindus to understand the moral spiritual ideology of Santi Parwa's leadership. This type of descriptive research means analysis in the form of santi parwa documents, and the data is a description of written words. Data sources from Santi Parwa books and scientific works in the form of research, journals and other supporting books. The data analysis method used in this study is a hermeneutic method, focusing on Santi Parwa relating to symbols, languages, discourses, which is open to interpretation according to its context with an interpretive approach that is a reader whombaca usesexisting knowledge, ideas, and concepts to reflect and can produce a description of the Spiritual Ideology of Moral Leadership in Santi Parwa wacana. The results of thestudy, First, wacana spiritual moral leadership in Santi Parwa background in the form of wacana in the form of writings, wordsor ucapan that are contextual. The Moral Spiritual Discourse of Leadership in Santi Parwa consists of: (1) Peace of Mind, (2) Obligation;; (3) Kepercayaan diriConfidence; (4) Justice; (5) Cooperation Kerjasama. Second, the ideology behind spiritual moral leadership in Santi Parwa is Ideology that formulates thewhole system ofthinking, value, and basic attitudes that undercut the story of Santi Parwa, which consists of: (1) dharma deology; (2) Ideology of duty; (3) Ideology of Bahkti.

Abstract

The Indonesian Buddhist Council is one of the Buddhist Religious Councils that was established in 1955. One of the Riau branch administrators is Pekanbaru. Pekanbaru as the capital city of Riau Province houses 7 (seven) Viharas and Cetiyas. Each Vihara and Cetiya has its own problems such as the absence of activities other than Vesak and Kathina Celebrations (Buddhist holidays), including the lack of attention and guidance for administrators and devotees. This study uses a qualitative-analytic method with a religious and cultural approach. The results obtained are as follows. There are several factors that cause service not optimal, such as parking facilities, a service request system that is still manual, the lack of information on Vihara and Cetiya activities, the level of willingness and competence of priests and managers of places of worship that is still lacking. Second, PC MBI Pekanbaru has provided good guidance to Pandita, the manager of the house of worship, in making work plans so that services to the people are maximized, but this requires monitoring and evaluation in its implementation. In addition, PC MBI Pekanbaru has sought to civilize the community where Pekanbaru Buddhists are dominated by the Chinese ethnic group.

Abstract

Canang sari is a very important tool that complements every offering or offering. In the case of the canna sari is called the main means in the offering or worship. Basically all Hindus use canang sari for all ceremony supplies. Business Empowerment canang sari is the main work done by the poor especially by the mothers who are in the village to punch Kangin Karangasem. The skill of making this canang sari does not require special education and does not require so much capital, and large plus the banners trail is passed by many people going to Pura besakih. To help improve the living standard and income of PKK mothers aged 25 to 40 years old and the background of high school education, whose economies are less capable in Menanga Kangin Village, it is necessary to empower the canang sari business, conducted both in groups and in Individuals. So mothers who are in the village gossip have so much enthusiasm to learn to make canang sari even though they have no knowledge about canang sari according to Hinduism Framework ie Tattwa, susila and Event. The methods used in this study were Servy, interviews, outreach and training. Uaha Canang Sari participants were around 20 to 40 years old and their educational backgrounds were elementary school graduates. They sell in the morning until late afternoon, the location is on the side of the road to the temple to besakih. The canang sari business empowerment in Menanga Village is very much considered human resources for the Village Village Government to carry out activities such as Dharma discourse, training on training Bebantenan specifically canang sari which is in accordance with the concept of Hindu religion teachings, the sustainability of the business of Canang Sari gets assistance from the traditional village government, such as financial loans in the form of money from LPD, and marketing methods so that it can continue not only to the village of lanin

Abstract

Two regulations have concerned the sacred site of Uluwatu Temple, namely, first, the Bali provincial government regulation number 16 of 2009 about the space arrangement plan of the Bali provincial area in the year of 2009-2029 which accommodates the Bhisama (consensus) about the sacredness of the temple. Second, the traditional law by Desa Adat Pecatu has also regulated alas kekeran or karang kekeran. There seems to be a contradiction between these two regulations. While, the earlier, the provincial government regulation of Bali 2009-2029, regulates the radius of the sacred area for about apeleneng agung ‘five kilometers’, the later, the traditional law issued by Desa Adat Pecatu, regulates the alas kekeran or the karang kekeran with the radius of less than one kilometers.

Abstract

Mabayuh Oton ceremony has several special functions that are first functioning religiously. This ceremony is one of the manusa yadnya ceremonies held in Bali which aims to free human beings from the shackles of Sad Ripu or the nature of the gamut brought from birth. After mabayuh oton has been executed, the bad traits will be controlled and emerging traits that are in accordance with the norms of moral Hindu religion and the basis of a holy life. Secondly, itserves as a form of local culture of the Balinese community which until now is still held. Third, This ceremony serves to the character building of children. According to the naturalistic view of the children character beside of being formed by the environmental factors, their character are also built innate factors.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang “Nilai Etika dalam Cerita Pedanda Baka Karya Pedanda Nyoman Pidadha dan Ketut Pidadha”. Cerita Pedanda Baka menggambarkan kehidupan sehari-hari khususnya cara orang mempertahankan hidupnya dengan cara kurang baik yakni dengan cara menyalahgunakankepandaiannya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya yakni dengan jalan menipu. Adanya penelitian tentang cerita atau satua “Pedanda Baka” dalam penyampaiannya lebih mudah dipahami serta menjadi inventarisasi dari cerita-cerita yang berkembang dalam masyarakat Bali. Sangat disayangkan bila sebuah karya sastra yang sarat akan makna dan dapat menjadi petuah hidup hilang dari perhatian masyarakat begitu saja. Di samping itu pengenalan nilai etika Agama Hindu melalui mesatua (bercerita) dari orang dewasa kepada orang yang belum dewasa lebih efektif, efisien dan mudah dihayati oleh masyarakat. Demikian juga di kalangan anak-anak sangat diperlukan agar orang tuanya bercerita, sehingga nilai etika dalam cerita Pedanda Baka dapat dijadikan rujukan atau tranformasi melalui sikap dan prilaku kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Kelahiran sebagai manusia sungguhlah mulia sebab dilengkapi dengan kemampuan untuk berfikir (idep). Manusia dianggap memiliki kecerdasan dibandingkan dengan mahluk yang lain. Kitab suci Agama hindu juga memuat hal tersbut bahwasanya hanya terlahir sebagai manusialah mampu membebaskan hidup ini dari samsara. Namun demikian dalam perjalanan kehidupan seringkali apa yang manusia lakukan bertolak belakang dengan hasil yang didapatkan, hal ini tidak terlepas dengan karma phala yang diperbuat dan juga pergolakan dalam diri manusia. oleh karenanya perlu dilakukan sebuah penyucian. salah satu bentuk penyucian diri termuat dalam lontar tingkahing Brata. Akan tetapi sangat minim sekali pengetahuan umat terkait dengan bentuk penyucian diri yang dimuat dalam lontar Tingkahing Brata ini. oleh karenanya dalam penelitian ini mengkaji terkait dengan alasan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap lontar Tingkahing Brata dan juga bentuk penyucian diri dalam lontar Tingkahing Brata. Harapan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah pertama pentingnya memahami lontar Tingkahing Brata secara religius, secara social, dan tradisi keagamaan.
