Abstract

Age, information or mass media, education level, parity, economy or money, social culture, and environment are some of the causes of moms' lack of understanding regarding toddler nutrition. In the working area of the Ternate Health Center, Alor Regency, this study seeks to ascertain the association of age, education level, parity, and income on the degree of awareness of mothers about toddler nutrition. This kind of study is a cross-sectional quantitative analytic investigation. In June and July 2022, this study was carried out in the Ternate Health Center's operational space in the Alor Barat Laut District of Alor Regency. The 318 mothers who worked at the Ternate Health Center in the Alor Regency comprised the study's population. A sample of 76 participants was selected using a basic random sampling procedure. In this investigation, the chi-square test was applied with a significance threshold of 0.05. The findings indicated that the mother's degree of awareness on toddler nutrition was related to her variable level of education (0.000) and income (0.018). While there is no correlation between the variables age (0.460) and parity (0.923) and mothers' degree of knowledge regarding toddler nutrition. Toddler mothers are expected to make an effort on their own to improve nutrition education by being more diligent and active in bringing their children to posyandu or puskesmas so that mothers can make more use of healthcare facilities as a place to get health information, especially about toddler nutrition so they can provide appropriate care for toddlers and toddlers. Abstract

Vasectomy is a stable contraceptive technique for men by cutting the sperm ducts (vas deferens) that carry sperm out of the testicles. Central Kupang Regency is one of the districts with the lowest coverage of vasectomy contraception, namely there are only 10 male couples of childbearing age who use vasectomy contraception. This study aims to find out the reasons why men of reproductive age participate or not in the use of vasectomy contraception in Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency. This type of research was qualitative with the method of interviewing 10 informants consisting of 4 PUS who used vasectomy KB, 5 PUS who did not use vasectomy KB, and 1 PLKB support officer. Data analysis uses thematic analysis and triangulation. The results showed that husbands' knowledge of male contraception was categorized as lacking, because there were still many husbands who did not know about family planning contraception and the lack of sources of information about vasectomy contraception. Some of the respondents in this study had an attitude of not supporting their husbands in using the vasectomy family planning program, so they did not choose vasectomy contraception. In this study it can be seen that men who have had a vasectomy have a place to live far from the place of health services so it takes a long time. Under these circumstances, men still participate in vasectomy. It is suggested to PLKB officers that in counseling about vasectomy family planning not only among mothers, but also husbands so that husbands understand and understand about vasectomy contraception, so that later husbands have a sense of will and are no longer worried about vasectomy contraception.

Abstract

Perilaku merokok merupakan salah satu masalah sosial yang terjadi saat ini. Perilaku merokok bukan hanya merugikan bagi perokok tetapi orang-orang disekitar perokok yang menghirup asap rokok. Tujuan edukasi bahaya merokok yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan penghuni kos yang merupakan mahasiswa tentang dampak negatif merokok bagi kesehatan. Sebelum edukasi, pengukuran pengetahuan dilakukan melalui pre-test, yang menunjukkan bahwa 64% responden memiliki pengetahuan baik, sementara 9% memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Setelah sesi edukasi yang meliputi pemaparan materi, diskusi, pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, di mana 82% responden kini memiliki pengetahuan baik. Hal ini menunjukkan keberhasilan kegiatan edukasi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok, serta diharapkan dapat mendorong penerapan informasi yang diperoleh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan penyebarannya kepada orang lain.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Tuberkulosis Paru (TB Paru) merupakan penyakit menular yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan global, termasuk di Indonesia. Pengetahuan yang rendah tentang penyakit ini di kalangan remaja dapat menghambat upaya pencegahan dan pengendalian. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan edukasi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai TB Paru. Tujuan: Mengevaluasi pengaruh edukasi kesehatan melalui media video terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan siswa kelas VII SMPK Rosa Mystica Kupang mengenai TB Paru. Metode: Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Sebanyak 19 siswa, terdiri dari 18 siswi dan 1 siswa, mengikuti kegiatan edukasi yang meliputi penyuluhan menggunakan video, ceramah, dan diskusi. Pengetahuan siswa diukur sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil: Pengetahuan siswa tentang TB Paru meningkat secara signifikan setelah diberikan edukasi. Rata-rata persentase pengetahuan responden mencapai 92,63% setelah penyuluhan, dengan 17 responden (89,5%) berada dalam kategori baik. Uji paired samples T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikan (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan pengetahuan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Kesimpulan: Penggunaan media video sebagai alat bantu dalam edukasi kesehatan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang TB Paru. Diharapkan program edukasi kesehatan ini dapat dilanjutkan secara berkala dengan topik-topik kesehatan lainnya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan siswa.
