Abstract

Recruitment of workers must be done selectively to match the industry's needs for skills and competencies. How ever in Karawang area with the existing capacity performance capacity of the workforce; only 2.5 percent of total job seekers were successfully placed. This study aims to determine the selection criteria for industrial sector workers and provide recommendations for decision-making models for the selection process. To determine the priority criteria, the AHP method was used, followed by the TOPSIS method to calculate preferences. 3 respondents from the Employers' Association of Indonesia (APINDO), HRD-GA Association, and Dinas Tenaga Kerja & Transmigrasi Karawang were requested to act as the experts on employment matters for this study. It was found from this study that Educational, discipline, and skills are three of the fifteen priority criteria with the highest scores in succession. Individual Factors are also being recommended as a priority factor in selecting workers for the industrial sector. Keywords – AHP, TOPSIS, MCDM, Industrial Sector, Workforce Selection.

Abstract

The implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in office environments plays an essential role in improving employee health and safety standards. The Electoral Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in Karawang Regency, responsible for overseeing elections, faces challenges related to workplace risks, including musculoskeletal disorders, work-related stress, and fatigue due to high workloads. This community service program aims to increase employees' understanding and compliance with OHS procedures through education and awareness programs, including ergonomics training, stress management, use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and emergency response simulations. The program results show a significant improvement in OHS awareness from 40% to 80%, and compliance with OHS procedures from 35% to 75%. Additionally, cases of musculoskeletal disorders and work fatigue have decreased by 30%. The implementation of this program demonstrates that comprehensive OHS education and awareness initiatives are effective in reducing health and safety risks in the workplace, while also fostering a sustainable safety culture. Thus, Bawaslu Karawang is expected to continue this initiative as a means of improving employee well-being in a sustainable manner

Abstract

The implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in higher education presents challenges for working-class students who must balance their studies and employment. At Private University X in Karawang, the transition from conventional learning methods to LMS has caused adaptation difficulties for both students and lecturers, potentially hindering learning effectiveness. Therefore, an evaluation is necessary to identify key aspects for LMS optimization based on strategies aligned with the university’s specific conditions and needs. This study formulates LMS optimization strategies through a survey involving lecturers and students from the Industrial Engineering Department. Data were collected between February 15 and March 8 and analyzed using the SWOT method based on the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS). The analysis involved developing variables through interviews validated by previous research, followed by a structured survey to determine variable weights used in quadrant analysis, which were subsequently revalidated by respondents. The findings indicate that diversification is the most effective strategy, as identified through quadrant analysis with an internal factor score of 0.76 and an external factor score of -9.7. This strategy includes personalized learning to align content with student needs, AI integration for enhanced interaction and recommendations, gamification to boost engagement, and improved technical support to address LMS related challenges. By providing a structured strategic framework, this study offers practical guidance for higher education institutions in developing LMS solutions that are more adaptive, inclusive, and aligned with lecturer and student demands.

Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) is a learning method based on E-learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between several factors that support the utilization, impact, and development of LMS usage. Data collection using sampling techniques on students of the Faculty of Engineering, Sehati Indonesia University. The method used in this study used a quantitative study with the Delone & McLean model consisting of 6 variables that are compared, namely system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction and net benefit. Research analysis using SEM-PLS. The results of the study indicate that there is a strong and positive relationship between the System Quality (SQ) and Service Quality (SeQ) variables that have a positive effect on customer satisfaction or User Satisfaction (SAT), but also in the use of this LMS has several challenges with the low influence of system use on satisfaction and benefits, indicating the need for efforts to improve literacy and digital skills among students and lecturers. The implications of this study suggest the need for technical support and more optimal and intensive training
