Abstract

Maqra’ah, traditionally, has served as a cornerstone for Quranic education, aimed at preserving and transmitting the teachings of the Quran across generations within the Islamic community. Initially centered on face-to-face interactions, Maqra’ah has experienced a paradigm shift with the advent of modern technology, manifesting in the form of online Maqra’ah. This innovative model breaks down geographical and temporal barriers, connecting teachers and students globally. Despite its significant potential, this study identifies that the adoption of online Maqra’ah, especially those focused on Qiraat learning, remains relatively underexplored. Consequently, this research aims to describe various online Maqra’ah platforms offering Qiraat learning programs, utilizing a literature study method. The findings reveal a diversity of Quranic Maqra’ah offering Qiraat education programs in contemporary times. The emergence of online Maqra’ah serves as an effective step in preserving the knowledge of Qiraat, which has become somewhat alienated among the Muslim community in recent decades. The advent of online Maqra’ah presents a new alternative, facilitating students in deepening their Qiraat studies and potentially serving as an effective and flexible learning method..Abstract: Maqra’ah, secara tradisional, merupakan pusat pembelajaran Al-Quran yang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan dan menyampaikan pengajaran Al-Quran dari generasi ke generasi dalam komunitas Islam. Maqra’ah yang pada awalnya berfokus pada interaksi tatap muka, telah mengalami pergeseran dengan pemanfaatan teknologi modern yang berupa maqra’ah online. Model inovatif ini memecahkan batasan geografis dan waktu, menghubungkan guru dan murid dalam lingkup global. Meskipun potensinya yang besar, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bahwa adopsi maqra’ah online, khususnya yang fokus pada pembelajaran ilmu qiraat, masih belum begitu populer. Oleh karena itu kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berbagai platform maqra’ah online yang menyediakan pembelajaran ilmu qiraat dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai macam maqra’ah Al-Quran yang menawarkan program pembelajaran ilmu qiraat di zaman sekarang. Munculnya maqra’ah online telah menjadi sebagai satu langkah efektif dalam melestarikan ilmu qiraat yang sudah terasa asing dalam kalangan umat Islam sejak beberapa dekade terakhir. Kehadiran maqra’ah online telah menjadi alternatif baru yang dapat memudahkan para pelajar mendalami studi qiraat dan berpotensi menjadi metode pembelajaran yang efektif dan fleksibel.

Abstract

This study explores the paradigm of Rahmatan Lil Alamin as a transformative axiological framework for reorienting global education in an era marked by instrumentalism, ecological crisis, and moral disintegration. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a philosophical and interpretive literature-based approach, the paper critically examines how Islamic values of universal compassion, justice, and ethical responsibility can enrich and redirect the purpose of education beyond utilitarian ends. The findings reveal that when Rahmatan Lil Alamin is integrated into educational thought and practice, it enables the emergence of a holistic pedagogy that cultivates not only intellectual competence but also moral sensibility, ecological awareness, and spiritual depth. This paradigm positions education as a moral and civilizational project—one that fosters the formation of ethically grounded individuals committed to the common good. Rather than treating education as a neutral mechanism for economic mobility, Rahmatan Lil Alamin recasts it as an ethical vocation rooted in values that transcend religious, cultural, and disciplinary boundaries. The study contributes to the contemporary discourse on Islamic philosophy of education by constructing an integrative, value-based, and globally relevant framework for building an impactful, compassionate, and sustainable model of higher education.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas korelasi antara dzikir dan ketenangan hati dalam perspektif Baqir Sadr, seorang pemikir Islam terkemuka. Dzikir, sebagai praktik spiritual dalam Islam, tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pengingat akan kehadiran Allah, tetapi juga memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental dan emosional individu. Baqir Sadr menekankan bahwa dzikir dapat membersihkan hati dan jiwa, serta memberikan ketenangan yang diperlukan dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan. Melalui analisis terhadap ajaran Sadr, artikel ini mengungkapkan bagaimana dzikir dapat menjadi sarana untuk mencapai kedamaian batin dan memperkuat hubungan spiritual dengan Allah. Dengan mengintegrasikan pandangan teologis dan psikologis, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik dzikir yang konsisten dapat menghasilkan efek positif yang mendalam, termasuk peningkatan kualitas hidup dan pengurangan stres. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan baru tentang pentingnya dzikir dalam konteks spiritual dan kesejahteraan psikologis.

Abstract

In an era marked by increasing cultural diversity and global interconnectedness, this article critically examines the pivotal role of multicultural Islamic education in instilling Human Rights values within multicultural societies. By fostering an educational paradigm that transcends traditional boundaries, multicultural Islamic education emphasizes the profound internalization of core principles such as tolerance, justice, inclusivity, and non-discrimination. This approach is strategically designed to cultivate moderate (wasatiyah) and humanistic learners who embody Islam's balanced, compassionate ethos across diverse contexts. Drawing on robust theoretical analysis, the study establishes meaningful linkages between universal human rights principles—derived from international frameworks such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—and authentic Islamic perspectives. Key Islamic concepts, including human dignity (karāmah al-insān), equality before God, restorative justice ('adl), and religious freedom (hifz al-din), are meticulously aligned with the comprehensive Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah framework, which prioritizes the preservation of faith, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth. This integration not only resolves potential tensions between secular and religious worldviews but also enriches both by highlighting Islam's inherent commitment to human flourishing. The article further highlights practical strategies for embedding Human Rights values by promoting tolerance and interfaith dialogue, respect for minority rights, equitable social justice initiatives, and the unequivocal rejection of violence and extremism in Islamic educational curricula. Special emphasis is placed on the indispensable role of teachers and educational institutions as architects of change. Educators, equipped with pedagogical innovations and cultural competence, are positioned as key agents in crafting inclusive, participatory learning environments that encourage critical thinking, empathy, and civic engagement among students from varied backgrounds.
