Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of dakwah (Islamic preaching) in the culinary business at Warung Ayam Geprek Sa’i in Malang City, which integrates Qur'anic values into daily business operations. The topic was chosen because dakwah is no longer limited to religious institutions or media but can also be applied in the business sector, particularly in the culinary industry, to support both social and spiritual development. This research uses a phenomenological study method, aimed at exploring the subjective experiences of business owners and employees in running an Islam-based business. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, manager, and employees, as well as observations of routine activities such as the recitation of Surah Al-Waqiah and the weekly charity program held every Friday. The results show that the implementation of dakwah in this business has a positive impact, such as increasing community awareness of the importance of integrating religious values into daily life. In addition, the charity program and recitation of Surah Al-Waqiah foster a closer relationship between employees, customers, and business owners. However, challenges remain, such as fierce market competition and shifting consumer preferences that prioritize taste and price. Overall, this study emphasizes that dakwah can be integrated into the culinary business to create a broader social impact, although continuous efforts are needed to educate the public and balance religious values with market demands

Abstract

The study of domestic violence is very important to discuss because with the existence of domestic violence, various new thoughts and solutions emerge, one of which is qiraah mubadalah. This article aims to describe domestic violence, the involvement of power in domestic violence, and qiraah mubadalah as a solution to domestic violence. This research is in the form of library science research or literature using qualitative methods. The results of this study are: Domestic violence can be defined as domestic violence can be defined as an act against a person, especially a woman, which causes physical, sexual, psychological, and/or domestic neglect. It also includes threats to commit such acts, coercion, or unlawful deprivation of liberty within the scope of the household. The dominance of power is also very influential in domestic violence because, with the power held by someone, other people in the social strata will submit to the owner of the power. Qiraah mubadalah can be a solution when domestic violence cases occur through the principles of mitsaqan ghalidzo, hunna libasun lakum wa antum libasun lahunna, muasyarah bil maruf, tasyawurin, and Taradhim min huma.

Abstract

The independent campus curriculum is an effort to increase competition in the 21st century, which requires competent human resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). STEM learning responds to the need to increase students' interest and skills in these areas. This study aims to determine the effect of using the STEM approach on spatial thinking skills in cartography learning. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest Design, conducted in a single experimental class without a control class. Subjects were selected by random sampling through drawing lots, focusing on 5th-semester B students. Data were analysed using a t-test with paired samples T-Test. The results showed a sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance value of 0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected, and Hₐ is accepted. To conclude, there is an increase in the average pretest and posttest after learning using the STEM approach, indicating that the STEM approach positively affects spatial thinking skills. Each stage of the STEM approach affects the students' spatial abilities. The science stages develop spatial abilities in the form of spatial interaction. The technology stages enhance the ability to apply applications and scale on maps. The engineering stage fosters analytical, representative and comprehensive skills. The math stage improves the ability to calculate scale and its application in everyday life. Keywords: spatial skills, STEM, cartography
