Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang promosi perpustakaan umum Kota Kediri melalui media sosial Instagram. Interaksi yang dilakukan antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka saat ini bisa dilakukan secara virtual atau online. Penulis secara khusus mengamati akun media sosial perpustakaan umum Kota Kediri. Untuk melihat bagaimana promosi perpustakaan dilakukan melalui Instagram. Promosi perpustakaan melalui Instagram merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif yang dilakukan dalam mengenalkan perpustakaan terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan efisien dalam hal penerapan strategi promosi melalui media sosial Instagram agar dapat tersebar luas ke masyarakat. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 2 cara. Adapun cara yang pertama yaitu menggunakan Metode Observasi dan yang kedua dilakukan dengan cara metode Publikasi. Perpustakaan melakukan promosi dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas Instagram seperti Instagram Story,  penyebaran konten berisi foto, vidio guna melakukan promosi perpustakaan. Kata Kunci: Promosi Perpustakaan, Media Sosial, Instagram.

Abstract

Abstrak : Kegiatan belajar di luar kelas merupakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebagai salah satu bentuk pelaksanaan program kerja KKN UM Desa Jajar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya peningkatan motivasi dan minat siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan belajar di luar kelas menggunakan metode belajar study club. Pendampingan belajar ini dilakukan di Desa Jajar dengan menggandeng instansi tingkat sekolah dasar dan PAUD se-Desa Jajar yang meliputi SD Negeri 1 Jajar, SD Negeri 2 Jajar, MI Jajar, TK Dharma Wanita 1 Jajar, TK Dharma Wanita 2 Jajar, dan RA Karang. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan untuk tingkat sekolah dasar meliputi belajar bersama materi olahraga, budaya dan seni, outbound. Sedangkan untuk tingkat PAUD mengikuti kegiatan mewarnai sambil bermain, permainan yang dilaksanakan seperti estafet bendera, lompat katak dan balap lari. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan belajar di luar kelas menunjukkan perubahan sikap siswa yang pada awalnya kurang tertarik dan mudah jenuh mengikuti pembelajaran menjadi lebih termotivasi untuk belajar serta minat belajar siswa meningkat. Kata Kunci: Belajar luar kelas, minat belajar siswa, pembelajaran Abstract : Learning activities outside the classroom are community service as a form of implementing the Jajar Village KKN UM work program. This activity was carried out as an effort to increase student motivation and interest in learning activities. Implementation of learning assistance activities outside the classroom using the study club learning method. This learning assistance was carried out in Jajar Village by collaborating with elementary school and pre-elementary level institutions throughout Jajar Village which included SD Negeri 1 Jajar, SD Negeri 2 Jajar, MI Jajar, TK Dharma Wanita 1 Jajar, TK Dharma Wanita 2 Jajar, and RA Karang. Activities carried out for the elementary school level include learning together on sports, culture and arts, outbound materials. As for the pre-elementary level, they participate in coloring activities while playing, games that are carried out such as flag relay, frog jump and running races. The results obtained from the implementation of learning assistance activities outside the classroom showed changes in the attitude of students who were initially less interested and easily bored participating in learning to become more motivated to learn and increased student interest in learning. Keywords: Learning outside the classroom, student learning interest, learning

Abstract

The Malang City Public Library provides special services for visually impaired library users through the Braille Corner Service (LAPOBRA), which is equipped with a braille collection and guiding blocks. However, the use of LAPOBRA has not been optimal due to a lack of mobility support facilities for visually impaired library users. The problem identified in this study is the absence of easily accessible guidance media for these users. Therefore, the development of an audio guide could serve as a valuable resource to help visually impaired library users access LAPOBRA, as this product has not yet been implemented at the Malang City Public Library. The purpose of this study is to develop an audio-based user guide as a means of educating users to improve the effectiveness of LAPOBRA orientation and accessibility. This study employs the Research and Development method with the Borg & Gall model approach, which is simplified into seven stages: research and data collection, planning, product development, initial testing, product revision, field testing, and final revision. Data were collected through observation, interviews, case studies, and questionnaires from six visually impaired library users selected through random sampling. The testing stage was conducted by media experts, subject matter experts, and visually impaired library users. The result of this research is an audio guide integrated with guiding blocks to assist visually impaired library users in accessing LAPOBRA. This audio guide explains the process of entering and exiting the service area based on the average footstep measurements of Indonesians. The results of the field test indicated a very high validity rate of 94%, demonstrating that this product is highly suitable for use. The creation of this product facilitates independent access to LAPOBRA for visually impaired library users and enhances their mobility in obtaining information.
