Abstract

Health services are now increasingly needed during the COVID-19 pandemic which threatens public health. The need for public medicines that must be available such as flu, cough, vitamin c, antibiotics and antimalarials and antivirals for health services makes hospitals must try to fulfil and currently the COVID-19 pandemic situation is still continuing so hospitals must be ready to provide health services to patients.This study aims to determine the differences in drugs in the Pharmacy Installation of the NTB Provincial Hospital before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 and during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This study is a descriptive-evaluative study with retrospective data collection in 2019 which represents the period before the COVID-19 pandemic and 2020 which represents the COVID-19 pandemic. The samples used in the study consisted of drug data from the Pharmacy Installation of the NTB Province Regional General Hospital (RSUD) and were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results obtained are the level of drug availability in the pharmaceutical installation of the NTB Provincial Hospital obtained based on the results of observing data in 2019 and 2020, namely 19 and 37 months. There is a significant difference (Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000) the level of drug availability in the Pharmacy Installation of the NTB Provincial Hospital before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 with a difference of 18 months.

Abstract

Tangkai sirih merah (Piper crocatum) mengandung beberapa senyawa seperti flavonoid, alkaloid, dan tanin yang berpotensi sebagai antimikroba. Ekstrak tangkai sirih merah (Piper crocatum) dibuat dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%. Sediaan gel diformulasikan menggunakan kombinasi bahan seperti carbopol 940, gliserin, metil paraben, dan trietanolamin. Setelah dilakukan pembuatan formulasi gel, dilanjutkan evaluasi sediaan diantaranya uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH (keasaman), daya sebar, viskositas (kekentalan), dan daya lekat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh sediaan gel hand sanitizer yang stabil secara fisik. Formulasi gel yang dihasilkan memiliki viskositas yang sesuai sehingga mudah diaplikasikan, dan memberikan sensasi lembut pada kulit.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred from 2019 to 2023 and has spread to nearly 190 countries in the world has caused a shortage of drug supply. The need for public medicines that must be available for health services makes hospitals must try to fulfill and currently, the COVID-19 pandemic situation is continuing so hospitals must be ready to provide health services to patients. This study aims to evaluate drug management in the Pharmacy Installation of the NTB Provincial Hospital before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 and during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This study used a descriptive-evaluative method. The main data was collected through documents containing specific data on drug management history. Supporting data was collected through interviews with the pharmaceutical installation. The results of the suitability of drug management in the Pharmacy Installation of the NTB Provincial Hospital before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 obtained 5 indicators that did not meet the standards and 6 indicators that met the standards while during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 there were 7 indicators that did not meet the standards and 4 indicators that met the standards.
