Abstract

The gap created by the mismatch between high domestic demand and low domestic supply of halal meat has been filled by ruminant meat sourced from the international markets. However, the exporting countries are still limited due to stringent halal requirements. This study examined the competitive advantage of trading partners in the exportation of ruminant meat. Moreover, this study also identified factors underlying the import of ruminant meat and determined the comparative advantage of local production of ruminant meat. This study employed Vollrath indices through the utilization of relative export advantage, relative import advantage, and overall relative trade advantage. Analysis was conducted on 26 countries and 15 product codes of ruminant meat. The findings disclosed that the possession of competitive advantage did not exclusively belong to traditional sources but to other countries, particularly Pakistan and the Netherlands.

Abstract

This research explores leadership strategies in Islamic boarding school education management in the digital era, with a focus on the Darussalam Blokagung Islamic Boarding School. Researchers use Everett Rogers' (1962) Innovation Adoption theory. Because the theory is comprehensive and relevant for understanding the implementation of technology in Islamic boarding schools in the digital era. By understanding this theory, Islamic boarding school leaders can develop effective strategies for implementing technology and improving the quality of learning in Islamic boarding schools. A qualitative case study approach was used to understand the unique Islamic boarding school context and its challenges in integrating technology. Research findings show that the implementation of technology in Islamic boarding school education presents challenges and opportunities. The main challenges are the lack of adequate technological infrastructure, high implementation costs, and socio-cultural impacts. However, technology also offers opportunities to improve the quality of learning, such as developing relevant curricula, implementing learning methods that utilize technology, increasing student engagement, and preparing students to face global demands. Effective leadership strategies in managing Islamic boarding school education in the digital era include the use of technology, building a culture of collaboration between staff, students and parents, as well as evaluating and monitoring the progress of technology implementation. Implementing these strategies can help Islamic boarding schools to improve the quality of education, prepare students for the future, and preserve the Islamic values and identity of Islamic boarding schools in the digital era.

Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes various factors that drive curriculum changes, such as technological developments, globalization, and industrial needs. The results of the study show that an adaptive and responsive curriculum not only increases the relevance of education, but also contributes to improving the quality of teaching and learning. The positive impact of this change can be seen in improving academic performance, student engagement, and stakeholder satisfaction. In addition, integrated quality management applied in the curriculum change process is able to create a more effective and sustainable evaluation system. This research recommends the need for collaboration between various parties, including lecturers, students, and the community, to ensure that curriculum changes can be implemented optimally and contribute to improving the overall quality of Islamic higher education.
