Abstract

It is importance of improving the digital literacy of teachers is crucial with the rapid integration of technology in education, effective training programs are critical. However, their success largely depends on the motivation of the participants. The purpose of this study is to determine the mediating role of the work motivation variable on the effect of the training variable on the digital literacy variable so that there are two independent variables and one dependent variable. The number of samples used was 73 teachers in Palembang. To collect data, a questionnaire technique was used. Using the Smart PLS 3.0 structural equation modeling technique, the hypothesized relationships in this study were tested. This study found that: 1) training had a positive and significant effect on teacher motivation; 2) work motivation had a positive and significant effect on teacher digital literacy; 3) training had a positive and significant effect on teacher digital literacy; and 4) work motivation had a mediating effect on the relationship between training and teacher digital literacy. These results highlight the importance of fostering a motivational climate to maximize the benefits of training programs. Implications for educational policy and practice are discussed, emphasizing the need for strategies that not only provide training but also actively engage and motivate teachers to enhance their digital competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of outcome expectation and self-efficacy in the relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurial intention among vocational students. Using a sample of 150 SMK students, data was collected via questionnaires and analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique in Smart PLS 3.0, with Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) as the theoretical framework. The results show that 1) entrepreneurial knowledge positively influences entrepreneurial intention, 2) self-efficacy mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge and entrepreneurial intention, and 3) outcome expectation also mediates this relationship. These findings contribute to the literature by validating SCCT in understanding entrepreneurial intention. The practical implications suggest the need for fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the school environment as a strategy to increase entrepreneurial interest among vocational students.

Abstract

Various parties are trying to prevent and overcome this problem in various ways. People are beginning to receive news, invites, education, and ads to raise their awareness of environmental sustainability. Consumers are becoming more conscious of the damaging effects that their purchases have on the environment. With green awareness increasing among consumers, they take steps to support the sustainability of the environment, one way is to use environmentally friendly products or green products. This study aims to find out how trends in research on how green awareness encourage consumer interest in buying and using green products. Descriptive bibliometric analysis is the research methodology employed. The Scopus database was utilized by researchers to locate data. Through four refinement procedures (identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion), 102 publishing data were acquired. The VOS Viewer tool will be used to examine the data. Compared to previous years, 2022 has published the most articles (28 publications). Citation trends related to green awareness and green products occurred in 2016 with 456 citations. China is the most influential nation in this field, with 29 publications and 14 connections to international collaboration.  Research on Green Products and Green Awareness is centered on 1) consumption, green consumption, and manufacturer; 2) green purchase behavior, green purchase, and environmental knowledge; 3) policy maker, TPB, and perception.

Abstract

The recent rise of environmental issues requires business units to prioritize sustainability in their systems and products, including marketing. People are increasingly aware of environmental damage and strive to preserve the environment. In this case, several companies have come up with several environmentally friendly products and services. This study aims to determine the trend of previous research from 2006 to 2023 on how green marketing influences consumers’ intention to purchase green products and make recommendations for future research directions. The research method uses descriptive bibliometric analysis. Based on the result of data retrieved from the Scopus database, 94 recent scientific articles are used in this review which are then converted into RIS format and processed with VOSviewer. The main findings of this study are: (1) The research on green marketing and the intention to purchase a green product emerged in 2011 and has experienced rapid development in the last decade; (2) the number of authors, institutions, and countries producing research in this field is still very limited; (3) research collaboration has not been significantly established; (4) the most productive journals in this field is Sustainability (Switzerland); (5) there are four common themes discussed in the literature on green marketing and intention to purchase green products over the last 17 years: the concept of green marketing; green purchasing behavior and intentions; environmental awareness and consumer behavior in relation to green products; and the influence of green marketing and behavior of consumer to purchase green products. The findings are discussed and the authors conclude by proposing possible avenues for future research.

Abstract

Waste management in schools plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development, as education serves as a precursor to raising awareness and instilling habits in society. This research seeks to understand the existing body of knowledge on waste management in schools, with a particular focus on primary to junior high school levels, as a facet of sustainable development over the period 2010 to 2023. The research uses bibliometric analysis through tools such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish. The research yielded a total of 63 published articles. The main findings include: (1) the most publications on waste management in schools occurred in 2022, but the most influential year was 2021; (2) the number of publications, institutions, journal rankings, and countries that produced research in this field; (3) research collaboration was not significant; (4) the most prominent journals in this field were Recycling and Science of the Total Environment; and (5) the common themes of articles in this field include waste management in schools, waste impacts, waste management system evaluation, sustainable development, and environmental management. These results will greatly assist readers in identifying research priorities related to school waste management and sustainable development. The recognition of collaborative efforts between different countries will bring new issues to the forefront of school waste management research and encourage collaboration between nations. Practically, this study provides a comprehensive review of the literature on school waste management as an integral part of sustainable development.

Abstract

Teacher digital competence (TDC) is a pivotal skill in 21st-century education, essential for addressing the extensive educational demands of the digital age and technological advancements. This study aims to investigate and evaluate research trends in teacher digital competency from 2013 to 2023 using descriptive bibliometric analysis. Researchers utilized the Scopus database for data collection, following a four-stage process to obtain 235 publications. These publications were then analyzed using the VOS Viewer software. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The research trend on TDC has shown a continuous increase from 2013 to 2020; 2) Citation trends peaked in 2018, with the work of Gudmundsdottir and Hatlevik (2018) being the most frequently cited; 3) Spain emerged as the leading country in this field, with 100 publications and five international collaborations; 4) Research on teacher digital competence primarily focuses on digital competence itself, higher education, ICT, digital technology, digital e-learning, personnel training, educational technology, digital devices, digital resources, teaching and learning, motivation, digital skills, digital literacy, TPACK, information and communication technologies, professional development, professional digital competence, self-assessment, education, and teacher professional development. Recent themes such as digital teaching competence, improvement, and digital tools are recommended for further research on teacher digital competence.
